O's vs Phillies, March 1

Recommended Posts

Either they changed the schedule or I made a mistake when I posted the TV/radio for all the games.   This game IS on 105.7.   Kevin Brown and Mike Bordick doing the broadcast.

Ranger Suarez put the O's down 1-2-3 in the first.

7-8-9

1st pitcher to go 3 innings. Well... Cobb threw 3 simulated innings this morning.

Phillies in Clearwater is one of the closest stadiums to us. Nobody is at the game? Woody? Greg? Mike and D?

Not following that close. Reading other things on the board. Looking at the box before mass substitutions, Rio is 3 for 3 with a ribby, Herrara 2 for 3, Stevie 1 for 2 with the other RBI, 1st run was unearned.

From Steve Melewski:

" Means needed just 41 pitches and threw 24 strikes. "

“Not too bad,” Means said. “It was all right. My fastball command wasn’t there that well. My changeup was kind of my get out of jail free card. It was one of those outings where I fell behind a lot, but the changeup was an eqaulizer. Just need to make sure everything was sharp and everything kind of got better as the game went on. Felt the curveball was better shaped later on, felt like the changeup was there and the heater got better, especially on inside pitches.”

" If Means pitches every fifth day from here on out, he is in line to face the Yankees on opening day March 26 in Baltimore. "
