So their draft strategy is to go for guys who got off to a hot start in 2019.

Looks like we are cornering the market on shortstops.   3 in the first 5 rounds last year, 2 in the first 3 rounds this year.   Are we ever going to draft a pitcher or a corner infielder .

I think Gunner is seen as a third baseman and not middle infielder he played in high school.

My theory is the O's cost-cutting have the scouting staff down to two guys now - one for the SEC and a junior guy for everywhere else.

The one who picked the Tulane kid.  He spends most of his time in New Orleans now drinking to forget.

Just before 74, MLB Network gave a view of the Orioles zoom draft room - it was a 5 x 5 square.  Imagine Luke was somewhere in that very Brady visual.

I’d pay good money to talk to Luke after tonight and get the scoop on how all this goes down.   But then of course he’d have to kill me.

With good exit velocities.  (this eliminates pitchers)

I don't know... the Orioles have had some pitchers that had some balls exit in a hurry.

Good stats in a much better college conference than the last two picks we made.  His swing looks so much more fluid and natural than Westburg and Haskin too.  I like this pick.
