MLB Worst Defender at every position

She is and it's horrible.  For years she's been the Hangout's designated famous hot woman we'd do anything for, and now she's old and if we pick someone younger as her replacement we just look like creepy old men.

I am a creepy old men, I remember Milano before she was a teenager on TV and then growing into a full grown woman. She ticked her TV daddy off, when she went topless in an R-rated movie.

While there was 100 slides, it wasnt click bait, and they listed the player and what they had done to earn that reward, granted, it would have been nicer to scroll and not click through.

She aged a heck of a lot better than Rose McGowan.  Whenever I see these links for "You won't believe how person x looks now".  I just google image search their name with 2020 added to the search.

What a horrific article.  If you want to call it that.  If you clicked all the way to the end you deserve some kind of perverse medal for enduring pain for no apparent reason.

And it's interesting to note that there were no terrible defenders prior to about 1995.  Or at least not among the catchers and a few first basemen, which is as far as I got. (In reality almost all of the worst MLB defenders of all time would have played over 100 years ago.)

Also, with any list of worst Major Leaguers there should be a huge caveat: these are the worst defensive players who were allowed to play this position in the major leagues after having been selected as one of the very best overall players in youth baseball, high school, college and the minors.  Except for maybe the guys at first and left field, they were all chosen by their teams to play this position despite the option of moving them down to an easier position or DHing them, meaning that their team's assessment of their abilities was that playing them there was better for the team than doing something else.  The teams that played Ed Taubensee or Ryan Doumit at catcher were doing so because they believed that was the most productive alignment of their teams.

For example, Jason Giambi would have been dozens of runs worse than the worst actual shortstop per season, if he'd been allowed to play shortstop.  Jim Palmer would likely have been the worst fielding second baseman in baseball, far below anyone on this list.  Mark Trumbo is probably a -60 CFer.

I warned you.

You mean you aren't into "non-binary" 46 year olds with shaved heads?

    • Cobb in his postgame interview was solid and doesn't want to be traded. When told Palmer thinks he could be dealt if he continues to pitch well he had a change of facial expression like he was upset. He thinks their team is real and are in every game and likes it here.  The perfect answer after giving the team  basically nothing so far on his big contract. If he keeps going around 6 innings and giving up 3 runs or less he will be in demand and will be dealt. We have too many young pitchers ready to move up and they will  move his salary the first chance they get to a money team like the Dodgers, Angels or even the Red Sox.
    • Ben predicts pitches regularly and is very informative. Is Ben on all of the shortened season games? I hope so. He is awesome! I think somehow he is helping the players and coaches. Not illegally just being around. Scott doesn't have much enthusiasm but think he will get better. I think no fans makes him that way. Ben is fantastic and holds things together.  Change is good!
    • I agree with everything said. The cutouts and noise will keep the players from getting bored or falling asleep.
    • Can't say I've been enjoying the commentary. Garceau has the same mispronunciations and inaccuracies as Thorne but without any of the energy and excitement. Ben McDonald just goes on about productive at-bats and bunting like it's 1990. Palmer had a little bit of that too, but he seems to have kept up with the advances in the game more, despite being 20 years older. The one positive is that McDonald identifies the pitches correctly and is pretty good at describing a pitcher's repertoire.
    • Horn blasts arent phony.  There's a group of 10 or 12 real fans who go to a gate of the stadium where they can see a tiny sliver of the field through bars and they sit in lawn chairs and stand on ladders and follow the game and blow horns and do some chants.  They wear masks and say they social distance.  The Phillies even turned on TVs over concession stands in their view so they can watch the game. They call themselves the Phandemic Crew or something like that. Aaron Boone and the Yankees actually complained about them saying the horn blasts were timed with pitches just like fans who try to disturb golfers by making noise just as they swing. Google Phandemic, you'll find articles about the m.
    • I like it.     Thought it was really a fun vibe in Philly.    I like their phony crowd noise too, complete with random horn blasts.    Overall, I think the sound engineers are getting better at what they’re doing with experience.
