2020 Ravens Season Tickets to Be Deferred to 2021

Recommended Posts

Seems like a good move for the Ravens and their fans .

Quote

In an email to Permanent Seat License (PSL) Owners, the Baltimore Ravens announced Wednesday that season tickets for 2020 will be deferred to the 2021 campaign. The 2020 season ticket seat locations for all fans will be protected, and the same seats will be offered for renewal in 2021.

Furthermore, credits for funds paid toward the 2020 season to date will be applied to accounts and can be used toward renewal for next season or toward future ticket purchases, or a refund can be requested. Current 2020 single-game ticket sales will also be discontinued, and refunds will be issued to fans who have already made purchases.

Additionally, if the Ravens are permitted under state and local government rules/regulations to have fans attend games in 2020, the team announced that a significantly reduced seating capacity at M&T Bank Stadium would be necessary.

Based on the social distancing guidelines and fan safety protocols developed by health experts, governmental officials and the NFL, it is expected that the stadium capacity – if fans are allowed – would be fewer than 14,000 seats per game.

"To offer a proper level of safety for fans who want to attend games, a reduction in capacity is necessary," stated Ravens president Dick Cass. "We are disappointed that this will be a disruption for many ticket buyers, but we have an obligation to our fans and our community to keep M&T Bank Stadium as safe as possible.

this is great and i was thrilled when i received the email yesterday. honestly, i don't mind watching from home. i won't be actually disappointed until they cancel the season and even then it will be a sad disappointed, not an angry disappointed.

I think the NBA and NFL respectively are going to have the toughest time getting going. The players have to play way too close to each other to not spread covid like wildfire.

I wish this thing would just get lost!

Did you see the new face shield? I agree that keeping 50+ guys 6feet apart will be difficult

I'm more thinking about proximity while playing. Unless they're just not going to guard anyone. In that case it would be give everyone 100 points and play the last two minutes. Back to the old NBA!

Yeah the one I have seen was vented in front. Can't say I'm sure how much it would actually stop spread while laying in the pile. I wonder if the NBA is thinking of the face shield also. They've been pretty tight lipped about it at least to my knowledge. We'll see how it goes.

Looks closed in front with slits and air holes on each side and a filter (see below )

Theyve been sent from the league to all teams

    • Cobb in his postgame interview was solid and doesn't want to be traded. When told Palmer thinks he could be dealt if he continues to pitch well he had a change of facial expression like he was upset. He thinks their team is real and are in every game and likes it here.  The perfect answer after giving the team  basically nothing so far on his big contract. If he keeps going around 6 innings and giving up 3 runs or less he will be in demand and will be dealt. We have too many young pitchers ready to move up and they will  move his salary the first chance they get to a money team like the Dodgers, Angels or even the Red Sox.
    • Ben predicts pitches regularly and is very informative. Is Ben on all of the shortened season games? I hope so. He is awesome! I think somehow he is helping the players and coaches. Not illegally just being around. Scott doesn't have much enthusiasm but think he will get better. I think no fans makes him that way. Ben is fantastic and holds things together.  Change is good!
    • I agree with everything said. The cutouts and noise will keep the players from getting bored or falling asleep.
    • Can't say I've been enjoying the commentary. Garceau has the same mispronunciations and inaccuracies as Thorne but without any of the energy and excitement. Ben McDonald just goes on about productive at-bats and bunting like it's 1990. Palmer had a little bit of that too, but he seems to have kept up with the advances in the game more, despite being 20 years older. The one positive is that McDonald identifies the pitches correctly and is pretty good at describing a pitcher's repertoire.
    • Horn blasts arent phony.  There's a group of 10 or 12 real fans who go to a gate of the stadium where they can see a tiny sliver of the field through bars and they sit in lawn chairs and stand on ladders and follow the game and blow horns and do some chants.  They wear masks and say they social distance.  The Phillies even turned on TVs over concession stands in their view so they can watch the game. They call themselves the Phandemic Crew or something like that. Aaron Boone and the Yankees actually complained about them saying the horn blasts were timed with pitches just like fans who try to disturb golfers by making noise just as they swing. Google Phandemic, you'll find articles about the m.
    • I like it.     Thought it was really a fun vibe in Philly.    I like their phony crowd noise too, complete with random horn blasts.    Overall, I think the sound engineers are getting better at what they’re doing with experience.
