To me.. a "boom" would mean putting up lots of runs in a hurry. I honestly don't think the O's are capable of doing that... unless we face a pitcher who pulls an Ubaldo and absolutely craps himself on the mound.

Yes, the Orioles have a poor offense.

We are really missed out, if we had played our cards right he could have failed our physical instead of the Braves'.

Exactly. But at least we could say they got a clubhouse cancer who also is notable player.

😐

He doesn't have cancer, he has covid-19.

Geez man, get your facts straight before I post some Imperial Triumphant in your Jazz thread.

Yessir! But can I call him a clubhouse COVID, or is that in poor taste?

The team is still doing surprisingly well in pitching recently.

Of course, it doesn't help to average 2 runs allowed per game for a stretch if you'e not scoring at all.

And when the offense starts scoring some runs will be when the pitching staff starts giving up runs.

Green was calling the Bears "pretenders" - they eventually made the Super Bowl that year but got punked in it.

I don't know if any of us would even give the Orioles "pretender" status even if they make the back end of the playoffs.

I thought the Marlins would be the Bears in the analogy, a beatable team that we let slip away.
