You are gone. Disagreement is great. Insult is not. Listen to the podcast I shared, and then listen to brown, who has none of the virtues demonstrated.

You are right the more I thought about it they could be firing one of the Nationals writers as well. If Roch doesn't write for that site it probably goes away. And I believe Steve is probably right behind him the way he covers the minors. I suspect the 15 minute pregame and post game they will use one of the broadcasters to attend the pre and post game press conference and that will be that. Instead of going to the studio where Dempsey was. It looks like they have closed that studio since the virus has been around. The interesting thing about Bregman’s draft year was they gave him a reasonably aggressive low A initial placement, he didn’t exactly dominate there (.699 OPS) and yet they jumped him to Hi A anyway after 29 games. Goes to show that sometimes the numbers don’t reflect whether a guy is ready for the next level.
Pretty simple
1) Elias wanted to go underslot which eliminated Martin
2) Elias did not want to take a pitcher 1:2 because of his experience with the Astros
3) College position players are less risky than high school position players.
4) He thinks the SEC prepares players better than other conferences.
