Just two more cents from me. I'll assume him missing the camp is partly injury related. If not, although I understand the importance of a degree, he was paid over $5 million to start a job. That has to be his #1 priority above all else. If he missed instructs ONLY because of the college thing then I got a big problem with it.
I think what Roch was getting at is that while Kjerstad is home dealing with his medical situation (which is most likely Covid-related), he’s using that time to finish his college degree online. Not that he chose to skip instructs in order to finish his degree. It could have been explained better.
I just wonder how that effects his trade value? The O's would have to send money with him either way but a team only needing to pay him 5m in 2021 may be more attractive than 10.5M. The deferral make make the salary less painful in the near term.
