‘Flash’back to all those posts made in April and May about what a mistake it was to let him go, how he was finally hitting with regular ABs, etc. 🙄

OPS by month:

May .581

June .293

July .174

Lol....I thought the same thing.  As for now, I just can't see any reason to bring him back.  He doesn't make them any better, IMO, now or in the future.

Flash and Charlie Culberson started out as pretty much equals when they were acquired by the Braves, but they went in opposite directions as Culberson established himself as one of the best utility players in the game.  Meanwhile, the Braves really need a bat or 2 off the bench moreso than another utility infielder.

24 year old Camargo just kept improving and took Flash's at bats away.

Camargo really proved himself last year and started this year with an injury.  His stats are pretty much in line with last year's.  He's a helluva player and could start at SS at some point.

What do you have against Flaherty? I can’t believe you are rooting against him...:)

I love how your trolling missing my key point. I said I would rather have him than Gentry bc Gentry can’t stay healthy.

Villar at 2b.Schoop at SS and Flaherty at third next year.Get her done.Best team ever at least on the infield. Anchored by Crush.

I'm down with this for next year.  Two of @Rene88 's nuggets and could be acquired cheaply.  If Bundy comes back healthy and AJ accepts his QO, who knows?

    • Reds imploding in 9th of another 1-0 game; Ozuna beat Day 2 Raisel to make it 3-0 (and ruin the drama of would Braves really use Melancon, 15th on the team in K-BB%, in a 1-run game); now Suarez has dropped a pop up to let Albies get on with a second chance. While I'm generally always rooting for a deciding game, Nick and O'Day are enough for me to be content to get to see them chase that One Shining Moment another week. Will the Reds opening offer to FA Bauer include a stake in franchise ownership?

    • Yea, no matter how the rest turn out, barring of course some kid's whose name I don't know turning into an all-star catcher, AR bombing will still be a big blow. Even if we end up with a playoff team, losing out on an MVP candidate at catcher is still going to hurt.

    • These threads are about the strengths of the organization as a whole at the various positions, not the current strength of the major league team.   I agree grades should not be “completely” based on players in the minors, especially ones who haven’t played an official game above low A.    But the guy was considered to be the easiest 1:1 choice since Harper.    That’s not nothing.
    • There's the matter of being the 21st pick and not 3rd, but if DL Hall could be in the ballpark of where Ian Anderson is now in a year, that would be nice. Scanning the 2017 1st round if we re-did it today, I see Lewis, Gore, Hiura, Adell, Ramos and Pearson as guys you'd probably obviously prefer to him. Hall head to head with the Shane Bazzes and Clarke Schmidts of the world will tell us a good deal of high in the league the peak Rutschman teams can get.
