Playoffs are set

Alex Kirilloff ) became the first MLB player in history to make his career debut by starting in a post-season game.

Kirillof is also only the 3rd player ever to make his MLB career debut in a post-season game ........ the previous 2 players who made their MLB career debuts in the post-season (Mark Kiger for the Athletics in 2006, and Adalberto Mondesi for the Royals in 2015) did not start the game in their debuts (as did Kirilloff.) Of those 2 players, Mondesi still plays for the Royals. Kiger, on the other hand, never played in a regular-season game before or after that debut, making him the only player ever to have played his entire Major League career in the post-season.

Zach Davies with the biggest game of his career on deck.

Bested Tommy Milone 41-39 for biggest change-up % by a SP (very sad about Devin Williams Dodgers series absence)

If I drop the Minimum Pitches from 250 to 100 there, Cesar Valdez debuts with a Bonds-ian 83%

I'd heard about Karinchak leaning into the Ricky Vaughn thing, and to have it unfold as he enters bases loaded in the 4th inning because playoff baseball is just fantastic entertainment.

DeShields misplay started whole inning.

And a Polanco misplay messed up the Twins’ night last night.

Its like I keep screaming at people: “DEFENSE MATTERS.”

Playoffs will give a juicy pinch hitting debate.

With Britton 24 pitches deep and having just yielded a walk to put the tying run on base, Alomar pinch hits lefty masher Jordan Luplow for the scalding hot Josh Naylor.  Makes it easy for Boone to just go to his righty, and saves Britton what would have been an interesting matchup.
