PTBNLs from the trade deadline

Recommended Posts

Aren't we still due a couple from somewhere?

Now that the WS is over, the exciting part of the year for Orioles fans can start!

I could be wrong, but I think we're still waiting on 2 PTBNLs from Atlanta from the Milone trade.

They'll probably be pretty decent but pretty low prospects. Learning how ME works... they'll probably be pitchers or SS's.

Yes, those PTBNLs along with one from Houston for Hector Velazquez.  I would assume we will get news on this over the next week.  I think there’s a moratorium on announcing transactions for 5 days after the end of the WS, but I could be mistaken.

I thought it was just during the WS.     There is a five day period before players can declare free agency.   Also, teams have five days to decide whether to exercise options on players.    A slew of options were declined by various teams already today.    We’ll know about Iglesias no later than Sunday.

My bet is cash considerations

Since I made a guess earlier, I'm gonna repost my guess. :)

So 250, 275 and 300k bonus guys, international and 17 yo.  SS and CF.  I think Mike Elias has a type.

2018/2019 draftees for non-international targets.

Any more SS/CF guys in that range that played for the Braves or Astros?  Haha

edit: 2018 J2 signings, https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/2018-mlb-international-signings-tracker/

Braves limited, so going http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?sid=milb&player_id=682853#/career/R/hitting/2020/ALL ($300k bonus, might be high for Milone with a second player...but I have little to no gauge for these young guys).

Astros have lots of options from 2018, but http://www.milb.com/player/index.jsp?sid=milb&player_id=682695#/career/R/hitting/2020/ALL
