I dont think anyone's buying it this time. Davis is now admitting he's older which is an ominous sign of the season he's about to have. .

I'd say there's a selection issue here, though. If all you care about is the money/contract, it's quite difficult to get to that level of a given sport, particularly a heavily skill-based sport (baseball). High internal desire to be good/great at the sport is somewhat necessary to get to that decision point in the first place.

I don't think Davis could hit .280 in the Independent baseball league.
