MASN now streaming.

Anyone have Roku? Any opinions?

They are both built in TV’s and a stick like Fire Stick correct? You would need multiple ones for individual TV’s correct?

Looks like that is only option outside of A T&T.

I don't understand the point of the app if you can't subscribe separately. Is the idea that cord cutters are supposed to reach out to their friends and neighbors to get their login info and mooch? I couldn't imagine using it if I was already paying for MASN through a cable subscription.

It just allows you to watch on some other device if you’re not at your TV at home, I guess.    And maybe (not sure) you can watch games at times other than when they are being broadcast live if you wish.

“Through the new app, which is expected to launch by Opening Day, viewers will have access to real-time player statistics, live scoring updates, and insider analysis from the MASNsports.com team. The MASN app will be expanded to feature unique video and editorial content, live odds and gaming analysis.”

Ohh real time player statistics?

Looks like from the link you provided earlier no team offers a separate app. That makes sense.

If teams did that they would tick off satellite/cable companies who have customers leave. The teams want as much money and access to their games as possible. They have to please both sides here.

They aren’t saying to me Roku customers have access to the games but those with cable/satellite service can access it through their Roku device. Maybe I’m wrong here. The Roku issue is the key part of this whole deal for anyone who wants to stream.

This is all definitely a positive.

They need to partner with a streaming service now unless Roku is the answer.

It’s obvious moving forward all sports will have more in game options going on. These sports after years of being anti gambling now know how beneficial it is for them to allow in game betting. Younger generation loves this stuff.

You’re correct.

Yea, like if Mancini started the game with 22 homers, then hits another in the 4th inning, the app will show he has 23.

Pretty sure MASN has decided not to put it's channels on streaming platforms like YouTube TV or Hulu.

One of the first reports I read mentioned cable or streaming services like Hulu but that was used as an example so.....

Billy the Kid.  After 20 some years of Mr. Angelos I'd be okay with a few years of Mr. The Kid.

I consider Dan Snyder to be pretty lawless.   Perhaps you’d like to try him?

Being a lawyer, I don’t like it when all lawyers are lumped together.  I’ve been practicing law for 38 years and have managed to make very few enemies and to treat people decently.

Generally, I do think lawyers have some typical traits that probably don’t lend themselves well to owning a sports franchise in most cases.
