Recommended Posts

Man, even the ESPN headline is "Bird Watch".

God this is exciting. :D

AGREED!!!! This is probably the worst time for this to happen considering I have 2 exams tomorrow... Decision, keep refreshing this board or to study????:scratchchinhmm:

I tell you what, the ESPN board and the "Orioles offiial website" board really make you appreciate the OH more.

Thanks to whoever got this back up and running.

Roch and Scmmuck still seem strangely pessimistic. Do you think they will still be in four hours?

What do you mean in four hours? Is that when it will get done?:D

I keep coming up from court to check to OH for any good news. I got really excited when the board crashed. Oh well, hurry up and wait some more.:(

After seeing the video of Ravech on espn.com, I'm not 100% confident. He only said that the hometown tie "neutralizes" the desire to win immediately, not that it's the kicker. And he said that every time a team offers a big contract, the other four step up and compete with it. He also said the contract could apparently go as high as 28 mil a season? I might have heard it wrong, and he meant that that in the span of the contract it might go that high. But if it's 28 mil a year... damn.

I definitely still think it's up in the air, though I really, really hope I'm wrong.

I think we took a tidal wave of people while we alreay had close to 1000 o the board. Server was like, "no way!!!!"

If only we had thought to create a backup board.

:P

Found this funny quote on the Sun boards

"Kevin Youkillis went to a UCONN football game vs. Cinncinati. He is as popular in East Hartford Conn as Tex would be in Baltimore and he only had stadium security when he went down to the sideline. And he was easily recognized. I don't think Tex would require a police escort."

Hopefully this isn't someone who is from this board because I found this quote absurd and absolutely hilarious. Youkilis in Conn. on Teixeria's level in Baltimore?! REALLY?!

You guys here forgot to mention this. Tex is a good friend of Matt Wieters. Maybe MW has helped convince Tex to come home. I sure hope to God he has. "Come home Mark". I consider Tex family. He went to Mt. St. Joe. Same high school as myself. We are a family at the mount. Mount men. I have wanted this signing for years and if he signs, I will make the trip from NY to Camden Yards opening day. I'll have tears of pure joy in my eyes. "Git er done".

This whole thing doesnt pass the smell test. Why would Tex come out and say that the O's and Nats are still in it. Makes no sense if he is close to signing with the O's

A source said it, not Mark to the press

Agreed...this is pretty good news' date=' but let's not get overly excited yet...I think we have been down this path before of hearing something that was not set in stone.

Sorry to pee in your Cheerios...but here's to hoping!!!!![/quote']

We're all going to look pretty silly when this guy signs with Chelsea. :laughlol:
