MacPhail speaks @ 4:30 Phone Press Conference

Recommended Posts

It'll probably be a generic talk about how the market didn't play out as they expected, they weren't getting what they thought were fair offers, and teams were asking unreasonable things. But don't worry. We're happy with the guys we have, and they are going to keep fighting while we continue the process of assembling a winner.

Sounds just like last year. Pathetic.

I don't really care what he would talk about at his press conference aslong as it doesn't involved announcing that they've signed Trachsel to a contract extension.

"We look forward to being active participants in the trade market by tomorrow's 4 pm deadline . . . What!!!! What do you mean the deadline was today!!!!"

Why not make it at 3:30? We all know he's doing nothing at the warehouse right now except playing solitaire and reading random Wikipedia articles.

Nope, we don't.

I hope any callers crucify him... He deserves every bit of it.

For which part?

Not trading Trachsel?

Not trading Payton?

Not trading :P Bedard?

Not trading Bradford or Walker and their contracts, which he was not responsible for?

Not turning water into wine? Not making chicken salad out of you know what?

You blame MacPhail if you need to, dude.

Umm why? This is the best move this team has made. And now that the players dont have to stress about whose being traded, they can focus on playing baseball.
