I found the answer to the Dorta question (it was driving me crazy...I dont like not knowing haha) It is former Washington Nationals utility man Melvin Dorta, who we signed to a minor-league contract. He was probably summoned after BRob left to go represent the USA in the WBC.

Turner in at ss or second, grounder to him and he thinks he has an easy out at second. The throw is late, safe at second, and safe all around. Bases juiced and a nice test here for Waters. Lars Anderson up.

Boxscore has him in at SS, replaced J. Cabrera (whos still hitting .417, I'm liking JCab for utility man still billy haha)

Waters completes his 3 innings without giving up a run. Ground out to Salazar, who runs to first. Out of the inning.

Good, glad to see him get out of a jam, thanks for the constant updates as usually billy, I'll owe you a beer or two if you come down from "up nawth" for a game this summer

A little blip on his ss experiment.

Unofficial line on Waters: 3 IP, 3 hits, 0 ER, 2 BB's, 3 SO's.

Unless he's coming out for another one.

If Waters went 3 innings, I think that means he's back in the rotation competition. Ugh... :(

One down as Wieters grounds to second.

Carlos Rojas is in for Moore at third. I kid you not.

Not a great game for Wheaties. 0-4 with a K and PB. I guess the guy is human after all... :P

Rojas flies out, 2 down here in the top of the eighth. "THE" Nolan Reimold is up. He's from Greenville, PA, near Youngstown. 1-1 count.

NOLAN REIMOLD blasts one off the top of the scoreboard in left field. THE NOLAN REIMOLD.

"That one was crushed off the team scoreboard. A no doubt about it."

3-2 Mighty O's.

    • I hope Mr. Elias and Angelos Firm sues that liberal wing-nut rag for defamation of character.
    • “Major League Baseball is completely comfortable with the Orioles’ coaching designations for the 2020 season, which are not only consistent with the terms of the pension plan but were approved in advance by MLB and shared prior to the start of the season with representatives from the Major League Baseball Players Association. The suggestion that there is an ongoing investigation that could result in discipline is simply false.” https://www.masnsports.com/school-of-roch/2020/10/report-elias-and-holt-linked-to-potential-pension-fraud.html Oh.   That’s very different.   Never mind.

    • Big story becomes non story.  All in one hour.  That was fast.
    • I’ve made multiple points multiple, times. I made the same points during the 47-win season, and I made them multiple times. I’m moving on..
    • Oh don’t worry, popped up on my screen and I’ve already watched it about 10 times. The camera work is terrible. I can’t believe that they can’t use their cameramen more effectively. But it’s a great play. I wonder if they’re going to score 2 errors in the play or if nobody cares anymore, ha ha
    • There was nothing in existence at the time to support the emboldened statement.  Certainly not his minor league career, nor his performance in the few weeks of spring training that Elias could see.  You are basing everything you say on hindsight.  Please provide your evidence that shows that Yaz was something other than what he had shown himself to be in the minors BEFORE the trade was made.  Until you do that, I'm afraid that you just aren't convincing anyone.  That others, most of us in fact, in hindsight, wish we hadn't traded Yaz is quite obvious, but that doesn't mean Elias failed in any way at the time, given the information available to him at the time.  There was simply no outcry from people upset about the trade at the time.  It was pretty much a ho-hum deal.
