Vader makes pro debut

Recommended Posts

I am sure this will turn into a derailed thread that has something to do with Star Wars jokes, but regardless, successful 1.1IP 0H 0R 1K showing the ability to get GBs even though it is only 1.1IP.

This is more of a post to give everyone a heads up rather than a post explaining how great of a debut it was, though it was successful. Vader seems to get under-rated around here.

6'4 and only 170lbs???

Maybe he can grab a lunch or two with Matt Hobgood.

He is very very projectable and already touched 91 I believe with a solid slider that shows promise if I remember correctly(on the variety of his secondary)....

Imagine if he were to end up having the same weight as another 6'4 pitcher Jake Arrieta who weighs 225. 55 pounds would sure make him have a more durable body and will also boost his velocity. But they don't have the same body types anyway, so its more wishful thinking....

I agree with the bolded. I think when it comes to weights, you have to use the eyeball test. Many times what is listed is wrong, and different players can be effective at different weights.
