So let me ask Fellas!
Steve Smith said the Ravens offense can be ran by his 6 year old old. Kurt Warner said their game plan is too Vanilla. At times, the Ravens struggle with the play clock burning early time outs in the playoffs is a good example
So, I know it won’t be popular. But, Is it possible that Lamar can’t handle a more complicated game plan? People scoff at the Wonderlic score as meaningless. The formations like the pistol lump everything player inside the hash marks with the we are going to run no matter what. Little adjustments to the plan to counteract the defensive scheme. As, I mentioned the screen and short passing game is the answer to the run blitz but we couldn’t spread out and run it for whatever reason. Lamar is great at using his instincts with his freakish athletic abilities.
I think it’s at very least possible and some of the commentary about the game plan indicates it’s possible.
I refuse to believe that Roman and his NFL coaching history can’t come up with a more complicated plan. His plans in San Francisco didn’t appear vanilla and I don’t remember that being a criticism.
