Says he is waiting for an offer.  Looks like we have lined up these HSers for various bonus ranges depending on whether we have $ available or not.  I imagine this kid has a pretty high number.

Hard to believe.  Most considered him a bit of a reach in the 3rd and he's already 22.  Kind of looked like an under slot strategy to me but maybe Elias was playing it straight up there and really liked him that much.

He is an elite defender. MAybe they see something on the bat they want to work on. Or maybe they have been trying to under slot so far.

We will see, but I agree with RZNJ - I think Watson would have already signed for slot if it was on the table.  I think we called this kid after the first night, said we have a fourth/fifth round grade on him, which is in line with his average ranking from various services, and offered him fourth/fifth round $ to take him at the top of the third.  

Pedersen would be a tremendous addition to our draft haul.
