I swear she said at the beginning that she was down there but maybe not. Ben was in Baltimore yesterday. Still it was clearly gone as I was watching.

Anyway. I’ll try not to crap all over Melanie’s PbP ability all season. It’s just not great.

Still nowhere as bad as the Pirates announcers. I don't mind Melanie. I think she's a good person so that makes it easy to root for her.

Irvin is seemingly locked into a starter role (barring a trade or FA signing)... maybe he's still tinkering rather than trying to win per se.

Ben did comment about how many cutters he was throwing but not going inside with his pitches. Even when he was missing it wasn't too far off the outside black lots of times.

I'm in Ohio, anyone know if MASN will be on an upgrade tier for people out of market? I would love to be able to fully absorb into "Maryland mode" by watching the pre and post game shows on MASN" ... even if they are not the best quality. (Can you tell I miss Maryland?)

I read a couple of articles on this and it doesn't appear that you can watch any Regional Network that is out of your area. The Regional Sports Network package is already an additional addon, and only gives access to your local area. This is how I'm interpreting what I'm reading, anyway.

  4. Be careful with Fubo though as they don't have TBS (or TNT), which means you'll need another way to watch the MLB playoffs when the time comes.

I was going to switch from DirecTV Stream but that's a big issue.

I’ve been a bit of a Povich skeptic, but some of this depends what day you see him.  While in Norfolk, he had two games of 6 IP 1 R 1 H, a game of 6 IP, 0 R, 3 H, and a game of 5.2 IP 1 R, 2 H.   Overall at Norfolk,he only allowed 32 hits in 45.1 innings, while striking out 53.   So, I don’t buy the argument that he’s easily hittable and doesn’t fool anybody.  He’s just maddeningly inconsistent from one game to the next, and his bad days are quite bad.  For me, it’s all about gaining consistency for him.

Yes I agree 100%. Just the days I saw him pitch weren't good, not every outing.

Count me as another who has seen Povich multiple times at Norfolk last year, and I wasn't impressed with his approach or command in the games I saw him.  Apparently, he did well in some games I didn't see him.  If he gets called up to the O's, I'll do him - and everyone on here - a favor and not watch him 🙂

I also saw him a few times in Norfolk and agree completely. He got knocked around every time I saw him. He missed the zone a TON and wasn't fooling anybody.
