You don't think the Orioles acting-Owner behaving in this manner is an area of major concern to fans of the team? I don't think anyone here is deluded into thinking our actions or voices can bring meaningful change, we're just discussing how much it sucks and what it means for the O's. All of us here are perfectly capable of doing two things at one time... cheering for the team and being vehemently opposed to the ownership group.

It's actually pretty common in sports.

I think us the fans should protest this off-season if ownership don't spend to keep our team in tact. Let the ownership see that fans will not tolerate being cheap and showing they don't care about us the fans.

Yankees broadcaster went off on the Orioles after announcer’s ‘disgraceful’ suspension

    https://ftw.usatoday.com/lists/yankees-michael-kay-orioles-suspension-kevin-brown

The Baltimore Orioles are catching a lot of flack from baseball fans at large after the erroneous suspension of MASN reporter Kevin Brown. And now New York Yankees broadcaster Michael Kay has jumped into the fray as well.

On Monday, a report from Awful Announcing revealed that Brown — an Orioles play-by-play broadcaster for the local broadcast MASN — was apparently suspended for pointing out Baltimore’s streak of road series losses to the Tampa Bay Rays. While the Orioles snapped the 15-series streak in late July, Brown was reportedly suspended indefinitely for the pregame comments, even though they were part of the team’s game notes and were accompanying a graphic made by MASN itself.

The outcry about Brown’s suspension has gotten so loud that even long-time Yankees announcer Kay had his feathers ruffled over the incident as well. On Monday’s episode of The Michael Kay Show, the announcer ripped into the Orioles for their “disgraceful” suspension of Brown.

It’s no wonder Kay’s so heated. All Brown did was do his job as a broadcaster for the Orioles, yet was suspended for stating actual facts about the team that were in the game notes, no less.

So, I know Matt a little. He wrote for BSL in the past. I’m not saying he is or isn’t right here. People can get false info but Matt is also not a liar or someone who would say false stuff just for clicks.

Anyway, JA is petty enough to do this imo.

Can someone explain to me what was wrong with that comment Kevin Brown said?

The Orioles announced Monday that they’ve claimed righty Jacob Webb off waivers from the Angels. In order to open a spot on the 40-man roster, right-hander Austin Voth was transferred from the 15-day IL to the 60-day IL. Voth has already been out since mid-June due to elbow discomfort.

If they want to hold a kangaroo court more power to them. But I’m not going to get upset because a guy didn’t get an inside the park homerun.

If Mateo didn't waste those 2 seconds, he would have tried to come home and be thrown out at the plate and just a long out and no run.  I am glad he didn't have the opportunity to try to come home.

Least surprising thing ever.  I can't believe some posters wanted us to sign him.  His contract is going to be a Davis like contract.

Good!!  Anything bad happen to the Yankees makes me happy, the pendulum is swinging the other way against the Yankees. They have gotten so many things go their way in history, they deserve some of what the O's have gone through their history.
