Seems like a dumb question with a cookie-cutter response to the dumb question. What does "not on the same page" mean...if that was in fact the question?
The Rangers went 4-16 in a 20 game stretch from August 16 - Sept 8 last season. This gives me some hope that the O's can find some magic by getting some people back and just turning things around.
I would also say the O's have been injury filled since that time as well. Don't get me wrong, they still have been mediocre, but I don't believe that Hyde "lost" the team.
Nice article. When the Orioles picked him, I have no doubt that they knew his flaws but still felt his talent was too good to pass up with the #22 slot. Let's hope he figures it out. Heck, how many guys drafted at 1/22 make it anyway?
I've got nothing against Terry Crowley. I think insulting the current Executive VP is a pretty dumb thing to do, but I don't think anyone will remember it a week from now.
I grew up watching the mid-70's teams and want to know what Terry Crowley did to warrant inclusion in the O's HOF? Seems like a stretch to me.
Agreed. The combination of a bad stretch for Burnes and the lack of viable starters/relievers is killing them (and Elias). Not much you can do when you've lost a large portion of your pitching staff.
