  1. It’s a lot easier to sell/relocate the team without pending lawsuits.
  2. Seems like a decent thread to vent on MLB...Blackout restrictions will prevent me from watching the O's this weekend from 5 hours away in OKC. This is a longer distance than the O's playing in NY. Nice job "growing the game". I'll be listening to the guys on the radio.
  3. I doubt he gets traded. We've had to many guys hurt (Means), cant stay healthy/innings limit (Kremer/Wells), or are having trouble in AAA (Not named GROD) that were penciled in the rotation. I'd leave Akin in the BP all year with his success. There's not many left...
  4. Why Not? (Too soon?) They are starting to be a fun team to watch. Splitting w/the AL Central Twins was a good week. Let's hope this continues with the bottom of the AL Central (KC and DET) in 2 of the next 3 series.
  5. Buxton seemed a little upset, but he knew he'd been had. Excellent battle. He and RM are my favorite O's to watch right now.
  6. Agreed..he has family on Twitter and probably lurking here as well.
  7. I'm in the "hope he gets a real chance" crowd. I think we'll have a better idea by the end of this season after a few guys make their debut. He was out of the dugout last week taking up for Trey in Oakland, so that stands for something.
  8. It may be the field since they've had a lengthy rain delay...
  9. I guess it also says something about the system if he's an underrated 2nd rounder.
  10. OPACY might be a "pitchers park" with the new LF..
  11. Even with being a NY team, I'd root for the Mets if they have Buck and Max. I want Buck to get a ring.
  12. There is always Fantasy sports. Everyone would love to hear your MLB Keeper leagues. How's your FF team doing? I vote for the 31-100 list. Great idea. Hope Tony is up for the challenge.
  13. What the hay...I took Baumann. He's been in the top 10 before, has a 2.94 era in 367 Mil innings, and got a cup of coffee this year.
  14. I agree 100%. Who on the East Coast, or even Central is staying up to 11:30-12:30 for a game outside of Atlanta/Houston? Zzzzzzz
  15. I like the aggressive rank. It was an interesting take on Aberdeen to start next year with it being a pitchers park. Worth watching for sure.
  16. This is why I voted Hall. His floor is Britton, right? ?
  17. Favorites: 1987/1991. Maybe it was the 55k hankies (j/k), but the Twins were a fun team to watch. The top pitchers (Viola/Morris) of each pitching games 1,4,7. Least: 2014 with SF/KC for obvious reasons, and I was living in KC at the time.
  18. The best players already lost a year of their prime. It would be a shame to lose additional time.
  19. Not really on topic, but ..maybe... Chris Russo was on DP last week and had a great point. MLB's fans don't follow the next round if their team doesn't advance. It's not like that with the NFL and others. The constant pitching changes etc and 3.5 hour games get old. Although, I don't think the abbreviated year last year did SP's any favors.
  20. I love how they must have handed out Oriole hats. Poor kids (j/k).
  21. Trey Mancini – $7.9MM (Yes) Pedro Severino – $3.1MM (No) Pat Valaika – $1.3MM (No) Anthony Santander – $3.7MM (Yes) Jorge Lopez – $1.5MM (Yes, as a RP) Paul Fry – $1.1MM (?, probably) Tanner Scott – $1.0MM (?, Not sure here either) John Means – $3.1MM (Yes)

    Ohtani

IMO, they really need to trade him to a contender. Dodgers are an obvious choice..
  23. It would be great to knock out Bos. Seattle's twitter account is certainly having fun rooting for the Orioles. I know the thread says AL, but check out STL. On 9/11, they were behind CIN, SDP, and in the mix with PHI & NYM. https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/?date=2021-09-11 17 W's later... https://www.baseball-reference.com/leagues/majors/2021-playoff-odds.shtml
