Trevor Bauer did nothing wrong. He had relations with a female who tried to extort him. Bauer fought and paid heavily to prove his innocence. Bauer has been blackballed by MLB for possibly his political beliefs. If the Orioles sign him we win AL East hands down. And would be the favorites for the World Series if we are able to get a real closer. Bauer said on the PBD broadcast he is willing to sign an incentive based contract where performance is rewarded. It's a no lose situation.

Elias has turned around one of the worst minor league systems over the past 20 years into a top system. Maybe they view pitcher and TJ surgery as too high risk. They even avoided pitching in the International signing period.

Agree. Let someone else invest in a kid that has TJ surgery before he reaches the majors. We can just trade for a healthy one with one of our drafted OF's

My guess is Brooks Lee. Elias went accomplished college outfield bats the past two years. Lee will come at an under slot that hopefully will allow us to pluck a projected first rounder that has signabilty concerns and we can overpay in the comp pick.

And there 3 or 4 moths ago Green was the consensus top pick and a once in a generation talent, that everyone was clamoring over.

I just don't think Jones is a clearcut #1. Would he have been taken over Adley or Witt. I don't think so. Would the Tigers have taken him over Torkelson? Maybe last year he would have ben the #1 when the Pirates supposed everyone and took the Cather from Louisville. Does Elias take an outfielder 3 straight years? I know the chances all three starting in big leagues is a long shot. Maybe he trades one of them for some pitching.

I would be happy if we signed a few pitchers.

Will we ever sign any arms in the international signing period? We don't draft them. We only seem to be drafting and signing outfielders and middle infielders.
