1.

I only saw it after the thread had been locked. I kind of glossed over it, because I hadn't been keeping up with threads so it was a plausible thread subject, then I got it... "situational hitting". Classic. I'm sure it would have taken off a bit better if the thread hadn't gotten locked so quickly.

 2. Well, I said it twice, so I guess the third time's the charm. I listen to the sports talk radio in my area, which is Red Sox talk, broadcasting from Boston. They talk about the Minor Leaguers. Are you going to respond to this, or just keep going on about how the only reason we talk about the Minors is because our ML team has been bad?
 3. So I'm going to assume that my point about how the media in New England talks about the Red Sox farm system, despite them being a successful, winning team over the last decade is going to be ignored? I mean, that virtually nullifies the whole argument about the only reason the Minors are talked about is a poor Major League product, right? ETA: Part of the strength of a winning team comes from having MLB-ready depth in the Minor Leagues. It's extremely rare that you're going to have a team get through the season and into the playoffs without having some injury issues. Therefore, there's no reason why Minor League depth shouldn't be discussed, since it's likely going to factor into most Major League teams' seasons.
 4. Well, you're wrong. Living in New England and being exposed to the sports-talk media here, there's plenty of talk about the Red Sox MiLB players, and the talent waiting in the wings. I mean, unless you want to somehow argue that the Red Sox are talent starved and winless.
 5.

Yeah, I have to upload a profile and then I'll probably go on a friending spree. Having only 3 friends is kind of sad. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/biggrin.png" alt=":D" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/biggrin@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

 6.

I just happened to come across the quotes when reading up on Jarrett and Mingus. I'm a pretty big jazz fan. I played saxophone through High School (and still pick it up occasionally). I remember in middle school, the Navy Jazz Band came and played, and one of the sax players asked me if I knew who Coltrane was. I didn't, so I went and found out and I've been listening to jazz ever since.
