My main concern is our starting pitching and my confusion with that is why Elias would let a disproven accusation keep him from taking a flier on a proven talent who is pitching extremely well right now in Trevor Bauer. Sign him to an incentive laden deal and let’s see what he can do. If you try to tell me that you’d rather see Cole Irvin start a game against the yankees over Bauer, you aren’t being honest with yourself!

Very disappointing overall. I can sort of understand the logic in letting Holliday get some more at bats in the minors but I’m having a hard time understanding Hyde’s obsession with Mckenna. There are players all throughout the MLB and AAA with the same skill set of Mckenna. Very easy to find. Deatroying Stowers confidence and momentum to keep a borderline journeyman makes absolutely zero sense. A big time downer …

I don’t agree with much of what JLC said but I will agree with him the Hyde was thoroughly outmanaged by Bruce Bochey and that he made almost no adjustments from game to game while our starters imploded. No one can rationally argue that Hyde is on the level of the top in-game managers in the MLB, he isn’t event in the top half. I like him as a person, from what I have seen, and he was a very good manager for the rebuild. I really think it’s obvious that we will need to move on after next season if he continues to struggle in-game when facing top managers. Ask yourself this, if we had Joe Maddon or Terry Francona managing the Orioles against Texas, do you think they’d have handled the pitching staff and lineups differently ? It’s obvious to see that guys like that are just better equipped to make the necessary moves to put us in the best possible position to win in the postseason.

The Orioles should send down to AAA or place 2-3 of the exhausted relievers on the IR and call up a couple of minor leaguers to eat relief innings over the next week. I truly don’t know how they can expect to win the division or advance in the playoffs when the bullpen keeps imploding over and over. Hyde just cannot keep running the same pitchers out there and magically hoping for better results

To say that you are glad that we are getting dominated and embarrassed by the Rays and are about to fall into the Wild Card round makes me want to just ask you one question: What part of Hillsborough County do you live in?!?

Tom Davis, Dave Johnson, Jim Hunter and Anita Marks all have one thing in common: They all are paid by the Orioles to report on the Orioles and are so scared for their jobs that they try to defend or ignore every bad or negative occurrence that happens to the O's. . They have zero credibility and I stopped listening to any inane comments they attempt to discuss a long time ago... At least Garceau, Palmer, Dempsey and Thorne have enough security in themselves to actually offer honest opinions and not just gloss over everything with a happy, orange brush. Tom Davis was an inadequate "sideline reporter" back in the days of Super Tv and HTS, so it goes without saying that not much has improved over the past 20 years as far as he is concerned... sad, but true.
