  1. I don't think the are .500 against the NL and certainly not NL teams that are .500+
  2. They have trouble with NL teams. Luckily we won't play one in the WS. My rough count 19-16 and that's with 5-0 against the Mets, Nats. Losing record against winning teams.
  3. This alone doesn't tell any story. If a team hits .237 but .287 with runners in scoring position, it will be as good or better than a team that hits .287 and .237 with runners ins coring position.
  4. I'd say yes they have the appetite .. but how big is it? https://frontofficesports.com/nashville-passes-2-billion-titans-stadium-sets-record-for-public-funding/#:~:text=It will be a potential, and Personal Seat License sales.
  5. Considering the deep pockets that have become more commonplace amongst MLB ownership... your wish is more likely than not as we move forward... at least for the next 3-5 years.. ha! I was surprised how quiet the Yankees were at the deadline. They were and are in the hunt and stood pat. Definitely not they MO.
  6. Is any of this new? https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/08/john-angelos-reportedly-seeking-public-land-extra-funding-in-orioles-stadium-lease-negotiations.html
  7. But as things currently stand we will have to get passed them to get to the WS. So.. measuring our performance against the likely road block in our way isn't unwarranted.
  8. I think Hyde needs to be able to SEE when Felix doesn't have it and not just stick with him because he is "The Closer".
  9. If nothing else, I would like to see it written into every contract where public funding is used that the Team name and history stays with the City if they ever decide to leave,. Like the Cleveland Browns.... I don't want to see happen to the O's what happened to the Colts.
  10. Watching the Whitesox vs the Yankees on MLB.tv... the Whitesox announcing crew made comments about the Orioles winning the season series against the Yankees but that the Yankees have typically owned the Orioles and the announcer said, (paraphrasing I hope I can say that without losing my job...
  11. Josh Jung down with thrumb fracture.. AL ROY Gunner's to lose?
  12. Seems like the premise is that the amount of game you get blown out in, the ones you blow out other teams, the 1-run differential is considered to generally equal out... like everything in statistics, you never know what the right sample size is. .. so it doesn't always equal out over a season. Then you have the pitching matchup variables, the team matchup variables, injuries etc.. Luck.
  13. Would you root for the Nashville Orioles, just curious.
  14. 3rd time through the lineup when he can't throw a strike was lowperbole.
  15. Every single time? They look great through 5 and lose it the next inning? It isn't that.. they often lose it all in the 6th.. happens a lot.
  16. What is it with our starters and the 6th inning..
  17. Does anyone else cringe when our announcers express some fact in a dramatic moment that you just know will jinx us? lol The double play king 32 swings and misses.. bla bla bla
  18. I think it helps understand if we made a good decision in passing on them. Now obviously we couldn't know how they would do at the time but we obviously didn't want to give up what was asked and so in the light it's validation of a decision to some degree. I hope we keep this going until the end of the season.
  19. If he and Cano cannot be trusted to get out of a jam.. that isn't helpful for us..
  20. I hope this doesn't give him the yips... that was ugly.
