  1. Who said anything about "giving that away"? I said trade. Ideally we'd get something back that we could use, like in our bullpen. I don't think he's enough to get us something good back on his own, but he's also a good piece to a trade. And like @Bemorewinssaid, we've still got Cowser and Kjerstad. I'm assuming Mullins is still the CF next year, but in 2026 I hope EBJ is knocking on that door. We've got more talent than spots that need filling, some of these guys are going to be needed to be traded. And I get that everyone has their favorites around here and while I don't have a favorite amongst the Cowser/Kjerstad/Stowers triumvirate, I think Stowers, just based on the fact that he's a few years older than the others, should be the one to be traded. He hits three homers yesterday and now we're rushing to find a spot for him? Please. That also leaves a guy like Norby, who's going to do the handwringing about him? Doesn't Norby deserve a spot? What about Beavers? What about Fabian? Who's going to stress and fret about these guys coming up and where are they going to play when we've got guys established in the outfield? I don't think the future of the Orioles revolves around Stowers. I can see a place where he's a part of the future, sure. I can also see a place where he's in someone else's outfield and doing just fine for himself while the Orioles are winning a lot of games without him, too.
  2. I agree, trade Stowers. Glowing comments about everyone, it's nice to see.
  3. Hoping he doesn't gas out and can put together a complete season.
  4. Wait, we’re talking about Bauer and how or if he deserves a second chance. I’m not completely clear on the facts with his case but it appears that the woman involved was a liar. And if that’s true, Bauer still doesn’t seem close to be making a comeback. Franco’s case seems to be a bit more clear cut. I don’t think anyone’s arguing he didn’t have inappropriate relations with a minor. It seems to be clear that he did. So are you arguing that he’ll still make it back somehow?
  5. Three horse race between him and Langford and Carter. Holliday starts ahead due to the hype, but Langford looks like a beast. I think it’ll be close, no matter who wins it. Hopefully it goes J-Ho’s (too early for the ever trendy first letter of the first name, dash, first two letters of the last name nickname?!?) way.
  6. As were yours. I just think being able to find guys who are castoffs and turning them into really important pieces is a skill that's underappreciated a little bit...on this board with the diehards, maybe not so much, but in the media at large and on a national level, I think people don't really consider it. This organization is in a fairly good spot if all it has to rely on is the draft. But thankfully, that's not the case.
  7. I’m more in awe of things like turning Felix Bautista around. Yennier Cano. Perez. DC. O’Hearn. Setting up South American scouting so they can get a guy like Basallo. Putting all that coaching and infrastructure in place and making decisions on who to take risks on and having them pan out seemingly more than not. I’m way more impressed by that than the draft picks.
  8. No ones beating down the door to get Wander Franco a second chance. Bauer was a bit of a loud mouth douchecanoe before this all started. He wasn’t liked already. Harder to come back from something like this when you’re already in the hole.
  9. Kaleb Ort hasn’t been mentioned and I’m gonna go with that guy. He’s got better stuff than to have the results that he’s had. I certainly don’t think he’s going to start the season in Baltimore but he could end up being a bullpen piece that makes an impact later this summer. Probably not, but just in case it happens in first on record.
  10. Well I’m not extremely offended by the thought of him, so perhaps I’m a Bauer Fan Boy? Maybe I should re-think some things.
  11. Good lord. And no you’re not, you’ll be back here tomorrow. Don’t lie.
  12. So how do you deal with real life issues?
  13. I’m sure you don’t have to look far to find worse/less accomplished pitchers on MLB rosters. @RZNJ wins. The anti-Bauer sentiment is as stale as the “Bauer Fan Boys”.
  14. Who here is a “Bauer Fan Boy/Truther”?
  15. Do we really know he isn’t that good anymore?
  16. Who knows? But I love reading tea leaves!!!!
  17. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The opening day roster doesn’t mean anything. They start the shuttle between Norfolk/Bowie and Baltimore after the first or second series of the season, whoever starts on the roster on opening day doesn’t matter. I will say I don’t think Holliday makes it, but whatever. He’ll be up soon enough. Most everyone that’s received long looks in ST will make an appearance in Baltimore at some point or another.
