  1. Well if your criteria is not playing after been here...Reynolds, D-Lee and Guillen aren't nominees. Millar sucked.
  2. Will Clark was actually alright here when he was on the field...when he was on the field being the key. .877 and .866 OPS. He killed it in STL when we traded him. 1B, I'll also nominate Kevin Millar. He was pretty terrible by the end.
  3. Don't you go blaspheming in here! I got into a beef last year with someone who absolutely wasn't having it that Kevin Millwood was bad. Kevin Millwood has some defenders on here, tread lightly.
  4. Those guys never made it to Baltimore which I'm not sure if it's part of the criteria or not. Doug Drabek is leading my rotation. He was painful to watch. My bullpen is being anchored by Norm Charlton.
  5. Vlad's gotta be one of the outfielders, along with Sammy Sosa and Fred Lynn.
  6. I'm also assuming Part 3 will cover pitchers, of which they'll be plenty to pick from.
  7. Derrick Lee was a longtime Orioles Hangout man-crush that everyone wanted for YEARS but by the time we got him it was too late.
  8. Man, these are hard to argue with. I forgot about Ozzie Guillen, he was miserable. First base, honorable mention (or maybe worse than D-Lee depending on how you look at it) is Rafael Palmeiro. He was actually decent but finger wagging, testing positive, earplugs, etc. Also at first base, '96 Eddie Murray. Felt good to have him hit his 500th homer here (a year to the day Ripken broke the Streak) but it wasn't great.
  9. It was tongue in cheek, dearest Drungo. If a thread makes it past three pages on here, it's usually not on topic.
  10. Came in here to see if there were updates on Adley, you guys are getting all emotional over some books. What kind of place is this?
  11. Oddly enough, I think the bullpen COULD be decent, assuming it lines up the way it does in wildcard's OP. I know it'll get blown out by June, but it could be a strength for this team.
  12. Prayers up to L Ron in hopes that Trey is alright. I'm a big Mancini fan, I'd like to see him do really well these next few years and see him get in the O's HoF. Seems like a good guy, good teammate. Some of you need to chill with the speculation. Speculating on what players we lose 100 games with is fine...speculating on what kind of medical issue this is...isn't the best.
  13. There's no change to the thinking. No change to the plan. If there were, he wouldn't be a good GM.
  14. An Orioles GM who isn't jumping through his own @$$#*%! to keep Rule 5 picks. Never thought I'd see the day.
  15. From @TonySoprano's favorite THE ATHLETIC: Rest is behind a paywall. But you get the idea.
  16. I would have bet on that he's facing guys that aren't going to go north with their teams, but Frobby had that info earlier, he's actually faced some good competition. If you look at the game logs last year for Davis, they're really ugly from a strikeout perspective. I mean, they're really ugly in every perspective but I saw a 7 game stretch where he struck out at LEAST twice a game.
  17. That's a good sign. You might be able to go back over some games last year and find a stretch like that, but it'd be hard. 139 strikeouts in 352 plate appearances, so he struck out 39% of the time if I'm doing the math right. That means a 20 PA stretch where he struck out twice probably didn't happen.
  18. Given his skills and abilities and how he perpetually exists on the fringe, every outing is a big one.
  19. And here you are. C'mon, lighten up, buttercup. It's spring training, it's boring, Davis is giving us some reason for hope. No need to be a pouty Pete about it.
  20. I don't hate it if, without the cheating, they're trying to get in someones head by letting them think they were tipping pitches when they really weren't. But...yeah, their cheating conspiracy takes it to a new level.
