I agree with Wells and Irvin. However, I think this should make everyone’s spider senses go off and strongly consider another SP addition. God forbid someone else gets hurt like Kremer and then we go from “all in with Burnes” to “crap we got Burnt” in less than a few weeks…

I agree this is not good. It makes me think we get another starter… I mean injuries happen, but normally DURING the season. Can’t go into April down 2 starters IMO. Burnes grayson kremer ??? !!!

Sadly, I think we are done for now. I expected a move for a BP arm but this will probably have to wait til July. I thought getting Scott back for something including Mateo made way too much sense to happen, and I know dialogues existed but you need 2 to tango. Let’s just… enjoy the most hyped ST in years!! And think about that… we have been STOKED the last 2, and this one will be even better. The talent we have… should be making other teams wet their pants. Burnes will make us incredibly better, and arguably top 3 rotation in MLB.

Eh...I don't know. It would remind me of the Nelson Cruz signing years ago. Santander is gone after this year. So if we could use him to get a back end reliever and replace his bat / if not an upgrade from Martinez, clear a spot for Cowser/Kjerstad/Stowers to get regular at bats. I see it as an upgrade/win. I absolutely agree that 2 of those 3 need regular at bats at the major league level.
