  1. Jonathan Araúz, Ramon Rodriguez, and Hector Perez are three names that I expected to be on the list of free agents. Evidently they have been re-signed and not been announced yet or possibly quietly released before the list came out. They are all still listed on the roster for either Norfolk or Bowie at the moment.
  2. Agreed. I suppose I'm overvaluing him because of the recency bias of him actually being able to get through a few innings unlike most of the other starters. ? They hopefully can do much better, but he's not the worst depth guy to have around on a team that runs through pitchers at the rate the O's do!
  3. The act of a player clearing waivers and being assigned off a 40-man roster to the minors, counts the same as an outright in regards to player rights. Dany Jiménez, Nestor Cortes, Travis Bergen, and Logan Verrett are examples of recent players who were able to elect free agency after a single "outright", because they had been returned previously from the Rule 5 draft (which technically counted as their first outright).
  4. Ellis was outrighted off the 40-man roster in 2019 when he was returned to the St. Louis system following his Rule 5 selection. Therefore, he had the right to opt for free agency upon this recent outright assignment. Even if he hadn't been outrighted previously, he would have qualified as a minor league free agent 5 days after the World Series. With that said, I would still think the likelihood of a reunion would be high. He would arguably be the #2 starter on the MLB depth chart at the current time.
  5. Looks like Severino, Greene, and Diplan have been removed from the roster as well. All 3 outrighed to Norfolk before becoming free agents.
  6. Conner Greene and Marcos Diplan as well. Per MLB.com transactions log. All three will become free agents in the next few days.
  7. Was curious how the interleague schedule would shake out for 2022 considering 2020's truncated season changed things. Looks like the tentative schedule has the O's visiting St. Louis for the first time since 2003 if my research is correct (and the very first visit to the current Busch Stadium!) https://www.stltoday.com/sports/baseball/professional/cardinals-notebook-flaherty-begins-route-back-to-rotation-with-shutout-turn-in-memphis-team-eyes/article_1f70c39b-13bb-5c79-a8fb-bb616a13543b.html
  8. I am also a Dish customer. I called and spoke with a representative regarding the removal of MASN. He could not find any evidence of that being the case. He mentioned the other NBC Sports networks, but had no notes on MASN being removed. I also saw an interaction on Twitter with a user saying he saw that same ad when going to pay his bill. A fellow user replied to that and said a Dish rep stated that the message on the website was fake. So hopefully this is good news but I don't know why a fake message would be circulating.
