  1. Rogers does not seem like an upgrade over Zimmerman.
  2. What about Tate? He appears not to be an option anymore. (I admit that I don’t pay close attention like I used to. Is he still dealing with injury hangover?)
  3. I think Zimmerman could have filled this spot & we’d still have Norby & Stowers
  4. I agree with you. I believe there is a trade being worked out that involves Baumann plus other pieces. I hate to lose our youth, but I’m sadly prepping for it.
  5. Would his screamed “O” be louder than in the national anthem?
  6. Let's go Coach Ashe! Strategic moves are needed for a sweep. Make it happen!
  7. 50,000 plus fans packed Memorial when they returned from Chicago with a W and a record of 1-21
  8. I get concerned that Westburg will be dealt in a package for a starter. I would tend to think that the future infield will include Henderson & Holliday on the left side. Duh! If Mayo develops, Mounty could get dealt as well. We cant keep everybody. Who's manning second & who gets dealt? Unfortunately, it appears Frazier will be this season with hopefully Urias splitting time.
  9. My optimistic pick is 84 wins. I'm really curious to see our record on May 1st. I will be very disappointed if we are at or under .500. Looking over the schedule, I'm hoping for at least 17 W's by May. Middle inning relief has to perform to keep us in games when starter fails.
  10. The Baltimore Sun tans the Hydes as well.
  11. I agree with you. I apologize for not having all correspondence relating to this in one post.
  12. That is correct. My point was more to do with "the manager, Earl" making the decision on playing Blair. That's Hyde's call to rep Mateo in LF.
  13. "Fortunately, I played for a manager (Earl Weaver) who was smart enough to realize that saving a run is just as good as scoring one. As long as I fielded the heck out of my position, he was going to have me in that lineup regardless of my hitting. So I dedicated myself to making a science out of playing center field." - Paul Blair in Sport Magazine (1985 Interview)
  14. "If you know how to cheat, start now" Earl Weaver
