Spenser Watkins may be the next guy sent down for another arm.

Of course this post was coming. Hindsight is 20/20. He used the players in the spots that has got this team to where they are today. Playing meaningful games in late Sept. Sometimes you have to tip your hat to the other team who were DUE to score some runs. Baumann was starting his second game in his major league career. He got through a grreat lineup twice allowing 2 runs. He went to his strength, his well rested bullpen. If Baumann came out in the 5th and gave up runs he would be getting ripped for that.

I said to myself after losing the 2 games to Detroit they would have to go 12-3 which seemed very improbable. Now 9-3 which right now doesn't look as daunting. Still a longshot but this team will not quit.

I think Elias has done much more than employ a tanking strategy. Look at the bullpen he has put together this year? He has evaluated players very well. Yes they have picked at the top of the drafts but they have picked well. Gunnar Henderson and Adley have a chance to be transformative players for the Orioles. The depth in the farm system is pretty good pretty fast.

Is Hyde making the lineups or is the front office? I have heard it may be the front office.

It is hard to put many pitchers in Greg Maddux's category. One of the greatest of all time.

Bradish and Kremer would have to have awful spring trainings not to be in next years rotation. Wells is pretty much a lock as well.

Having Kevin Brown, Jim Palmer, and Ben McDonald in the booth at the same time was just great for me to hear. Just very enjoyable and entertaining.

Tampa's lease runs out in 2027. I suspect they will either get a new stadium by then or they will relocate. Oakland will be the other team that has to do something as well. I suspect The A's could follow the Raiders to Las Vegas. Once these two get settled then I suspect baseball will expand two more teams.

They are not bringing up Westburg and burning a 40 man spot when they don't have to. They aren't making the playoffs.

Both sides bat in the ball park from the right side. The Orioles right hand hitters have not hit well since mid-August in ANY ballpark. With the shift's ending the team may definitely stack the team with more left handed hitting for sure in the future but I don't think we need to blame the ballpark.

I am willing to bet that may be his last start in the minors.

If they win the game I don't really care who is announcing it. I get many people don't like Melanie and some of the other announcers but there isn't much you can do about it. Just turn the sound down or don't watch.

Michael Baumann is starting one of the double header games tomorrow. I disagree about Grayson, if he is healthy and stretched out if they believe he is one of their best starter then he should be in the big leagues. I think they want to limit Tyler Wells total innings anyway so working in the bullpen for the rest of year makes sense.

How about if you get another rain out Mon-Wed?

If they can win 6 out of these "easy" games then they have done well. You can't win them all.

I think Wells could be here by next weekend but GRod will at least start one game in Norfolk before he reaches Baltimore. I don't think they are going to put Grod in the bullpen. If he comes up I think it will be to start.

Call me crazy but this Yankees collapse is EPIC. I can see Tampa sweeping them this weekend and being 2 games back. I know it is a long shot but this whole season has been a long shot.
