I was told before the game the Logan Webb was REALLY struggling, and should be a guy we can get back to our offensive prowess against.

His OPS is getting scarily close to dropping below .700. Add that to his awful 1B defense, and never ending place in the middle of the order and he’s been probably the biggest drag to the team during this downfall.

never said he’s elite. Said we better get an elite replacement if he’s gone. Especially one that can hit lefties. Hes better than all three of Cowser/Mullins/Kjerstad against lefties. Plays a solid RF. And hit 40 homers. He’s streaky, and that’s who he’s always been. He gets hot and he gets cold. Nothing about being cold in September changes that.

If we don’t, better go get an elite right handed left fielder. Can’t go into next season with three left handed hitters in the OF, two of which can’t hit lefites

Thats not what I was saying at all. I would argue that pinch hitting Slater was “giving up that at bat” Holliday had hit two balls hard, including one of our only hits to that point. He was the bette option in my opinion for that at bat and the eventual future at bats.

If this was the 8th or 9th inning I would agree. But to lose someone for the rest of the game in the 6th? Just leave Holliday in. He would’ve had another at bat against a righty later anyways.

Detroits schedule is Baltimore/Rays/White Sox as well.. with how they are playing they should be favored in most of those games.

I do think that the number will drop below 99% tonight if Detroit and Minnesota both win and we lose. Its going to start dropping quick.

Because all three of KC, Minnesota and Detroit would have to pass us. We essentially have to crumble and all of them have to play like .600-.800 baseball. We're holding up our end of the bargain.

We've had some bad luck. Cowsers hit wouldve been a grand slam in 7/30 parks, O'Hearns double in 3/30 parks, Riveras out in 14/30 parks, even McCanns double in 1/30 parks. Sucks watching this team. We're legit looking at being 4 games up on Detroit when they come to town.
