  1. Is it worth hanging onto Davis for the entire offseason and seeing if COVID shortens next year's season to try and save more money on the contract? Just a thought. We can always cut him if it ends up being a full 162 game season
  2. Purely eyeballs here, but Severino's defense has seemed worse than Sisco's this year
  3. Don't forget the draft pick we got for letting Cruz walk was Ryan Mountcastle
  4. Anybody notice Tommy Milone of all people is on that list?
  5. Maybe it's just easier to manage your lineup/bullpen with expanded rosters, but the other day I realized Hyde has made very few hard-to-justify decisions with regards to such. Makes me think he might actually be a pretty good field marshal after all
  6. I guess he finally heard all the smack talk about the zero hits and decided to do something about it. Go DJ!
  7. *tongue in cheek* So that's what Matusz meant when he said Palmer's numbers "Weren't that good"
  8. Why does Pedro Martinez miss the list? I always hear his name brought up in best pitcher ever conversations. What he did at the height of the steroid era was unreal
  9. Yeah, if it's PTBNL or cash, I doubt the PTBNL would be anything to get excited about
  10. Yeah, I wouldn't trade people just to trade them. If someone will eat a considerable amount of Cobb's salary, I think you have to move him. If someone will offer a prospect we like a great deal for one of our guys who won't be part of the next big team, I think you move them. Otherwise, let the chips fall where they may
  11. Even if they aren't HOF'ers that's good company for sure
  12. Milone sure has settled in nicely after that awful second inning
  13. I'd be a little peeved if they pulled me against Jackie Bradley Jr. after I'd been lights out
  14. I'd say Mullins got screwed there, but two pitches ago should have been strike three
  15. Didn't get a complete look, but it looked like he slowed up around first then turned on the gas
  16. That was an incredible piece of hitting by Mountcastle
  17. My 10 year old nephew who swings at everything I throw him would have laid off that one
  18. Yeah, we don't need to have him "whacked" or anything
  19. I agree. I'd love to see a young pitcher instead of LeBlanc at a minimum. I can't for the life of me figure out why we're starting Dwight Smith Jr. over Mountcastle in left field unless Mountcastle is looking absolutely lost at the alternate site. He can't possibly be worse defensively, even if he isn't going to win a gold glove out there, and he's at least as good an offensive player today as Smith and with more potential. Plus he's young and actually part of our future. I don't care that Smith is left handed. I think far too big a deal is made of platoon splits in most cases. I think Ryan Mountcastle can probably hit right handed pitching just fine
  20. No, but more of it could help cover up some other problems
