  1. Will give us more time to come back from a deficit.
  2. He’s a nice story but there’s a reason he hasn’t played in MLB for 7 years. I’m rooting for him but expect very little.
  3. Thank God for Apple TV. Here’s to hoping all games will be on Apple TV in the future. MASN is an absolute joke.
  4. I also live in Bethesda about 16 miles from the stadium. It’s faster to go to Camden Yards a lot of nights than it is to go Nat’s stadium. Especially coming home, can get back in about 45 minutes. Cutting across DC is a nightmare even w/o rush hour traffic. Their stadium is awful and it’s incredibly expensive. Add in the finance bros in sweater vests on lap tops during the game and it’s just a weird scene. Every time I’ve gone I’ve wished I hadn’t.
  5. Isn’t it technically a 4 game series 2 home 2 away I dig the streak. To me it just stands for consistently playing baseball at a high level. I’m not gonna lose any sleep when it gets snapped but it’s pretty cool while it’s intact.
  6. I don’t think saying his pitching “hasn’t been pretty” is over the top. Seems pretty spot on. I’d actually up it a bit and say his performance has been down right ugly.
  7. Is it safe to say Kimbrel hasn’t been pretty without being chastised yet? Or are we still clinging to an ultra SSS of success early in season when he was effectively wild in the zone.
  8. The way I see it in the grand scheme of things small details start to add up over the course of a 162 game season and can ultimately have an impact on results/success. Not relatwd to defense but it makes me think of “You know what the difference between hitting .250 and .300 is? It's 25 hits. 25 hits in 500 at-bats is fifty points, okay? There's six months in a season, that's about 25 weeks. That means if you get just one extra flare a week, just one; A gork, a groundball—you get a groundball with eyes—you get a dying quail...just one more dying quail a week, and you're in Yankee Stadium.”
  9. Looks a lot like Tettleton but not as much “bat hug”.
  10. This is how I see it. I question his swing decisions more so than his mechanics. He was absolutely pitched to and fell behind in what felt like every AB. It seemed like everyone threw absolutely perfect pitches and he didn’t get many breaks with calls. I think he will build off the experience and hit the ground running next time.
  11. He’s my favorite player and he’s fabulous. I’m just starting to give up hope he can be above average in the running game. Nothing wrong with that. He could still improve, but it does seem other teams are increasingly taking advantage of him on the base paths.
  12. I’ve officially started to worry about his throwing game. A good portion of his throws aren’t even remotely close.
  13. The O’s place a very high value on defense and rightfully so.
  14. Didn’t they have the opportunity to claim McKenna a few weeks ago?
  15. If that continues I imagine he will make an adjustment.
  16. I feel like if Davis got in there would a slight chance he’d get booed at the induction ceremony.
  17. I was down at IMG last weekend and watched him pitch Friday night. He was 91-92 with solid control and a good looking slider. Only gave up a couple hits but nothing barreled, or even pulled for that matter. He has the frame. 6’3” with long limbs and runs well. Very impressive athlete. He hit everything hard while batting. His pitching performance was impressive, but the hit tool and athleticism really stood out. On a field worth a ton of good players he stood out as head and shoulders above the group. He has a body type/skill set that is super projectable. He was also originally a 2025 guy but reclassed to be eligible for the 2024 draft. Might be youngest in the draft class.
  18. It seems there is finally something the OH can completely agree on.
