  1. I had a feeling he was banged up. This could explain him being more upright behind home plate and not getting his body’s low enough to steal strikes under the zone.
  2. Didn’t he get TJ?
  3. Yea, the inverted W theory has been debunked.
  4. Mounty & O’Hearn platoon split 1B Mayo DH Westy 3B
  5. Interestingly Kremer has been fantastic 1st time through order this year (.524 OPS 1st PA in G, .727 2nd…985 3rd) For his career he’s been very consistent (.725 1st PA, .775 2nd, .723 3rd) Could he become a major bullpen piece for the playoffs?
  6. Burnes, GRod, Eflin. Cano, Coloumbe, Dominguez, Kimbrel. Soto = wildcard Suarez & Kremer = depth/flexibility
  7. I caught the first 4innings today and he was pretty dominant. Consistently got ahead of batters. His fastball was live and really getting on the batters, a lot of swing and miss. I stopped watching in 5th. Pretty sure he had 5 Ks & 1 hit through 4. Was surprised to see his final line with 3BB & 1R.
  8. AAA will be a good test. It’s looking like it’s time.
  9. Van Loon 8k 4.1 ip 1 BB 3H 0 R 51/71 strikes
  10. Cano could be a guy that gets hot. He’s had a sneaky good season. All his statcast data is about the same as 2023. He’s getting more K but has given up more walks this year (substantially) and has been hurt by the HR. If he’s more efficient with base runners and limits the HR (he actually has a better GB% this year) he can be a weapon.
  11. He’s down 3 mph on his FB and sinker (and dropping). His command is off. He’s not missing bats and is getting hit hard. We are looking at the shell of Trevor Rogers. Something is off big time. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him get shut down soonish to try and get him healthy. With control & options I see him as a long term project and dept for next year. He is not going to help us this year. It will be interesting to see how what he looks like this time next year.
  12. I want to see them change something up. Could be many things. Of course walks are killers. No doubt.
  13. Burnes, Suarez, Kimbrel are all very slow. Seems like some low hanging fruit to make some adjustments. Word is out you can run on the O’s.
  14. Yea I agree. You aren’t going to improve at this point in season by giving him more to do/learn. Let’s see what he looks like when he’s relaxed and the game slows down for him a bit. He’s not going to be an option at 1b or RF in playoffs. 3B? Maybe? Give him the reps there and let’s see what happens.
  15. Wow. That was shortly after I Joined. There are a bunch of Usernames on that thread I haven't seen in years.
  16. Eno Sarris, on his last podcast, said he liked Minnesota in the central. He said all stats are pointing to them being strong.
  17. He’s been other worldly at blocking, I made a comment the other day. Believe they said on the broadcast that he’s had 1 passed ball in 2 years now (or something absurd like that). But for me, receiving is the more important skill. Burns is awful at holding runners. They need to work on something before playoffs, just can’t let guys run free like that. Heck, go for the 3rd pick-off if they are gonna run wild with massive jumps and get to second base anyways. I thought Adley should have had the guy on the pitch out. Not a great PO throw location by Burnes, but the throw to 2B was poor. A good throw would have had him.
  18. He’s battled blisters all Year.
  19. I’d say we have one of it not the deepest bench in MLB.
  20. good article on Holliday adjustments. https://www.thescore.com/mlb/news/3049616
  21. and that’s after a 2-34 stretch….
  22. lol yea, still there. Thats his timing. One thing I’ve noticed is that his head is much more still through the swing. Sometimes a big leg kick will move your eyes up and down. Balance is the key.
  23. No. He’s on a heater. He will even out, but the good news is the hard hit rate. He’s pounding everything. Historically he hasn’t consistently hit balls hard in the air pull side.
