  1. It does, but I imagine this thread gets shut down before you can figure out how to upload a picture.
  2. This thread is a dumpster fire and I’m blown away it’s gone 9 pages. With that said…..I, like you, can’t help but wonder if OP’s wife is 90% Asian or if she is a “9” or “10” on the frat boy beauty scale. With OP being a 6 sport all-American I assume the latter? Maybe we can add a poll to this thread?
  3. For sure. Bautista is putting a lot more valgus stress on the bow than, say, Cole Irvin. But I think it’s pretty well documented that both over work & under work will lead to issues. Could Bautista have avoided problems if he wasn’t risen so hard last year?
  4. I agree the science isn’t exact. With that said, the O’s have done pretty well in the pitching health category.
  5. You have to stay in the “sweet spot” https://www.scienceforsport.com/acutechronic-workload-ratio/ I’d be a little nervous trading with Marlins, seems their pitchers do down with injuries fairly regularly. Whatever they are doing isn’t working.
  6. The average OPS in the Int League last year was .794. Norby was .842. To say he wasn’t being challenged or was too good for the league is false. You could maybe make a case for Stowers who OPSed .954 in an injury shortened season after OPSing .882 in 2022. Those are the only two guys repeating. Look at their K numbers and you’ll see they are being challenged plenty (up until now). I think they both are ready to play MLB, but to think they’d be an upgrade right away over someone in the lineup currently is foolish.
  7. Thats why AVG EV and Barrel % are better than the counting stats for predictive measures. They stabilize much quicker (50 balls put into play).
  8. Come on, man his OPS+ isn't that bad.........it's 9. In all seriousness, I'm far from a Hays supporter and wanted to see him traded in the off-season, but I won't be calling for his head until mid-late May. Ryan Mountcastle has 4 more hits than Austin and his OPS+ is 175. You can't take anything from numbers in the first two series.
  9. I went Stowers. He's on the 40 man and we know how much this FO loves veterans.
  10. haha. I was 99% sure. Never know what people are doing during a 5 hr rain delay
  11. Omg. Completely forgot Charlotte is WS AAA team. Makes it so much better. So good. Imagine there is a topic over there right now 'We could have had Stowers or Kjerstad.....maybe both!!'
  12. Pretty sure you're being funny, but if not hurling is an Irish sport. Easily one if, if not, the most hardcore/dangerous/violent sports in the world. If you ever find yourself in Ireland, go out of your way to watch a match. Entertainment value through the roof. I don't even know how to describe it. It's kinda like rugby mixed with lacrosse played with clubs and a baseball.
  13. The salt is palatable. I was kind of amazed when I saw how many ABs he had in AAA. He's 5 PA short of 700. Thats a lot for a guy that's put up pretty big numbers. Stowers is @ 802 PA. Interestingly they have almost identical OPS' in AAA (.873 Norby and .872 Stowers)
  14. I think he committed to not swinging *at a curve. He saw it well previous two. I think he saw the curve out of the hand and committed to not swinging. He threw 4 curves in the AB, strike 3 was the only one in the zone and it was right on the edge.
  15. I assumed @Sports Guy was talking about the Norfolk pitching, which has been awful tonight.
  16. Thats generous.
  17. How do they explain not scoring in the second? I hope not scoring in the second inning doesn’t become a trend all year.
  18. 27 hits 25 Runs and counting and 8th isn’t over. WTF.
  19. Make that 3 RUNs an inning. Heston just hit a grand slam.
  20. They havnt hit in the 8th yet…..and are averaging 3 hits an inning
  21. Rumor has it the O’s are having some problems with defenders in RF. Come on, give the man his shot!!!
  22. Maybe he can carve out a nice career with ARZ?
