Maybe it's just because I follow 95 percent of games via gameday or radio, but how often has Adley gone with the silver getup? He looks like a stormtrooper.
I'll always remember watching the WC game he started against the Rangers with a very drunk uncle who, at one point, exclaimed, "This guy is like a drunk on a tightrope! And I would know--because I'm drunk!"
Elias: "Hey, do you know about Garrett Crochet?"
Sig: "Yeah. He's pretty good. Anywho, you want me to bring napkins and plates to the cookout tomorrow, right?"
After a really dumb day at work, this was an absolutely delightful read. Seeing a diamond expert and a can of corn detonate a yoked PBA pro was absolutely wonderful. I love this website.
Thinking it was because he was critical of those awful Orioles teams and complimentary toward their opponents. Obviously I've matured since then, and appreciate an honest announcer, but it's funny to hear him go in on the Blue Jays and love on the Os.
I'm watching the Toronto feed. When Buck Martinez was color for the Os, I remember that I couldn't stand him. I don't know if my taste has changed or he has, but I've been impressed with how much I've enjoyed him. The booth as a whole is very knowledgable when it comes to the Birds.
I like you and your posts, but respectfully, I disagree. Words shift in meaning--as do cultural norms. I think it's respectful to not use words that folks who have family members with developmental disabilities may find offensive. Just my two cents. Last thing I'll say on it.
