If you are looking to pull more , that means you are hunting inside pitches. But with 2 strikes you have to go back to “hit it where it’s pitched. “

Thanks. I don’t know anything about the “mental health issue” he had when he went on the restricted list, but I bet, knowing what this game does to players and particularly relief pitchers, it will be a confidence game as much as anything. This first outing hopefully boosts his.

I missed his inning. How’d he look? Anything to glean from his performance—pitch shape, control, movement, etc?

In a short series you also have starters you can use out of the ‘pen. Does a one inning stint of Kremer up his velo? Does he bump a current BP arm off the roster? Is Gibson a long man?

That’s what I worry about. Go get a real frontline starter and send him to the pen where he can get back to 96-97

Not entirely fair comparisons since he’s holding a runner on in that first one. The key differences going from the 2nd to the 3rd one seem to be the glove height and his feet are tighter together. Can’t tell from this but is he also standing in a different spot on the rubber?

My take on this game: this is the kind of game that winners win. Blow a 5-0 lead on the road and still pull it out. How many times in the dark years were we on the other side of a game like this?
