  1. The head isn't the problem, it's the squishy stuff that's stored inside.
  2. I think Ryan could be renting the basement of Adley's house and it wouldn't make Elias less likely to trade him.
  3. Yea, the Tanner Scott deal for Miami. Guess it depends on how Fabian pans out. I'd sure rather have Scott than Fabian atm.
  4. If the plan is to move Santander why wait this long? Wouldn't it have been easier to get a solid return during the offseason?
  5. He wasn't all that impressive in Japan last season.
  6. Good luck making that case in front of a jury.
  7. It wasn't a guaranteed contract so I think he just pockets the fraction and goes on his way. I do think the league leans on teams with very low payroll to spend money on these types of contracts.
  8. What are the odds Hernaiz is even in the league in seven years? What are the odds a team is willing to pay him Arb 3 or 4 money? How is paying between 2.5 and 3.5 million for Davis a smart move if that's the end goal? I'm not sure what Oakland is thinking, honestly I haven't bothered to look at their roster construction, but I don't think this move was so they could game Hernaiz's service time.
  9. The word funny has multiple meanings. I was using the one that dates back to 1806.
  10. Funny how you always seem to end up with insults.
  11. Don't ever let me forget just how classy you are.
  12. Once again I didn't say that. Weird how often you put words in my mouth. Not even sure what point you are trying to say I made. Hamilton had value even with his flaws. You don't often see a guy in today's game hang on for 11 seasons if he's not valuable.
  13. He doubled down on "pairing him" with Mullins. That's on him. It's not Mullin's job to be paired up with a kid in the minors. I decided not to engage you on the Hamiltion comment because that was Malike's point and he did a fine job.
  14. I think the idea is to make one or both of them relocate during the offseason and force them to work together without additional pay. I know I'd appreciate it if my job wanted me to train my replacement off the clock.
  15. And I said that he'll need a better batting average than Hamilton showed. I do agree with Malike that if you put a plus glove on Hamilton's profile you have a pretty useful player for the first 6-7 years of their career.
  16. Billy Hamilton never hit 130 singles in a season. He only even got to 130 hits in a season twice. If Bradford is a career .239 hitter he'll be lucky to get to the 11 seasons Hamilton played.
  17. So you interpreted a post in which he specifically said Bradfield should work out with a player as advocating that Bradfield work out under team supervision. That does check out with your history of interpreting posts. Thanks for the insight.
  18. I don't think I did. I think folks actually think like this. No emoticons, they bothered to hunt up a picture. Yea, I might be wrong, because you can't always tell on the internet but I think he was serious. If he wasn't serious he didn't do a good job of conveying that. I notice you gave him an up vote and not a laugh.
  19. So instead of using actual professionals that are trained to, and are being paid to, handle this sort of stuff the O's should just have another player, in his off-season, train his possible replacement? Based off of what? One picture of Mullins looking jacked? Do they even winter in the same State? Are you going to force Mullins to give him a spare room in the back?
