  1. EVEN WHEN THEY GET A HIT?
  2. Throwing with a running start in the outfield is different than throwing off a mound.
  3. I figured you would like someone named Wagner.
  4. Maybe Roberts has a suggestion for how Cowser can build muscle mass during the season?
  5. We'll see how the thing I have planned Monday goes.
  6. Must win? I was offered tickets to one of the games and turned them down. Not interested in seeing a game at the trop.
  7. Which is why I say it was successful and he was just unlucky.
  8. Would be helpful if each of the starters were available for one or two innings of relief between starts. Don't really see teams do that anymore.
  9. I don't like the assumption that the doctor in question was at fault. Which is how i took the earlier comment about it being the same doctor.
  10. "Expect" being the key point. I agree you should expect it. But some might last ten years and some ten starts. It's a range.
  11. Oh please, I've never "gone berserk" on a message board. You might be confusing me with the guy that had to sign up for the board a second time under a new name because he got banned.
  12. So the new ligament is just supposed to be unbreakable for a few years? Sounds fanciful.
  13. Except the important part, he pitched effectively in the majors post surgery. Guys with unsuccessful surgeries don't get to do that.
  14. I've never heard of a position player being injured. I'm pretty sure it doesn't happen. We just imagined Kjerstad missing two seasons.
  15. It's not normal. Throwing a ball over 90 MPH isn't normal either.
  16. Just because Means is having a second surgery doesn't mean the first was a failure. He came back and pitched successfully. The new ligament doesn't come with a warranty.
  17. Going to be hard for even the Dodgers to pay for all three of them.
  18. I agree. I'm also interested in how the first base voting goes. Statistically Mountcastle has a shot but I don't think he's going to get national support.
  19. I just miss the days before content was spewed out at breakneck pace without proper editorial procedures. It's all so slapdash anymore.
  20. And then they mention Betts and Bellinger, who were drafted even later. I'd rather discount Pujols from the equation since his age is in question and the draft was a lot different but he was also not a first round pick. So three of seven or four of eight mentioned were not first round picks. That's not rare, it's actually higher than I think any of us would have guessed. It wasn't a bad listen and I do appreciate the link but they aren't making really strong statements.
  21. They did, but I'm pretty sure that title is meant to imply that all the other MLB teams passed on him. Which they themselves mention didn't happen.
  22. Thanks for the link. I guess since the O's drafted Henderson with their second pick they count as being one of the 29 teams to pass on him? That's a poor title for the article.
  23. Soto left the game with a forearm issue. Haven't seen an update beyond the fact that it had been bothering him for a while.
