  1. As opposed to Tate who saw his K rate drop after he started throwing more 2 seam fastballs after the O's acquired him. BTW I think it was a BA article that said that.
  2. Trading 750K in slot money for Jack will never stop being funny to me.
  3. I won't be able to sleep until I find out where Zoellner end up. I'm guessing just outside the top 10, Dan sounded really excited about him.
  4. Nick's bat was better than Heyward's so Nick won. Typical Gold Glove voting. I was hoping they would get over this bias by now but obviously it hasn't happened yet.
  5. I'm afraid I'd find a MASN bankruptcy hilarious. They spend too much on off-season programming? What did they do start showing TWIB episodes from the 80's?
  6. The team being put on the market/sold.
  7. Without Manny the Dodgers are a wildcard team, maybe even out of the playoffs.
  8. Sure, the article I linked to stated that ownership could always make a move.
  9. What if there are two outs and you have the pitcher coming up next and the opposing pitcher is right handed can't throw harder than 91?
  10. He also said some other stuff as he was walking away. Not the type of language I would expect from a Christian.
  11. They only trade for him when he's already injured.
  12. I think they won't want to sign him to a huge contract and it won't be because of his questionable actions. They don't need him, not at what he will cost.
  13. What does that have to do with anything you quoted? I didn't say Manny did or did not do it intentionally. I was just pointing out some of the same posters that were defending Manny are now attacking him for the same sort of stuff.
  14. Because it slides over the bag. I've always thought that Machado was hitting the catchers on purpose. I'm just defending his intent with this one slide. I think that the subsequent problems Pedroia has had has altered public opinion.
  15. I don't recall anyone outside of a few Red Sox fans that thought the play Pedroia was hurt on was dirty. Sometimes accidents do happen. Am I remembering wrong? Was there an outcry from the general baseball fanbase that the play was dirty? Or was it retroconned that way after we found out how injured Pedroia was? Here is the film. https://www.mlb.com/video/pedroia-leaves-after-collision/c-1309699983 The announcers don't seem upset, Manny appears to be honestly concerned about Pedroia (as opposed to all the catchers he's hit with his bat). There are better ways to dirty slide.
  16. I find it amusing how folks here have turned on Manny. You know that if he were still an O's and doing this some of these same folks would be defending him.
  17. It's why they traded those two instead of Reimold.
  18. I like when batters don't make outs. Fail to make enough outs in a row and you score.
  19. I don't think it is likely to happen after he signs his next contract. The time to correct the behavior was when he was an O.
