In all honesty, the event had become just a glorified autograph show. I'm sure all the controversy in recent years over the autograph tickets might have factored into it....from the fans complaining they couldn't get the vouchers to the resale of the vouchers on EBay. Had Adley Rutschman been on the list those problems would have been highly exacerbated in 2020. The only other real draw seemed to be the room of leftover giveaway items. It may just be time to try something new and different.
An interesting read. From my perspective, the questions are: would we lose Norfolk as an affiliate? What happens to Aberdeen's Ripken Stadium (IIRC, it was built to standards above Short-Season specs)?
