  1. Fedde could step into Strasburg's spot in the rotation, and other than the uniform, no one could tell the difference. What a guy to have on the back burner.
  2. Cy Fedde or something, sheesh...
  3. So not only is he bad, but he's snakebitten. Great.
  4. There you go Dwight, just roll over. Doesn't feel like a good game for the O's to me. They're not putting in 100%. ... Yet. It's been a pretty magical season. Maybe they'll answer later. I REALLY hesitate to count them out unless the Nats score a couple more.
  5. I think it was me yelling at the O's to take a pitch. Nah. Just funny timing. I got tired of the O's being completely impotent at the plate at the same instant Fedde ran out of gas. Lucky groundout there. Blah. Gross.
  6. This Nats nobody pitcher might end up with an 8.1 inning complete relief game with 76 pitches.
  7. TAKE A PITCH!!!!!! JFC!!!!!!!!
  8. Man. 2 pitches. Hacking away, rolling over against a guy who got called into the game unexpectedly -- a failed 5th starter, at that. What are they doing up there? Just trying to get home early? I really do wonder.
  9. The O's plate discipline seems to have utterly evaporated.
  10. OR if the O's score another run, as long as we keep one run ahead of the Nats, Strasburg takes an "L".
  11. Based on his last start -- where he gutted through the same problem -- and this start, they (the broadcasters on MASN) seem to think it's nerve-related. If it were muscle, they'd probably have to shut him down so it doesn't get worse.
  12. Wouldn't Strasburg qualify for the loss since Santander homered against him? Man, that'd be tough.
  13. I have nothing against Strasburg, and he's a talent... sucks to see the guy having that issue. It looks like he might be shut down for a while. REALLY sucks for the club to have to pull him after 2 outs.
  14. I gotta hand it to the O’s and 105.7 The Fan. In a rain delay, MASN syndicates whatever is on ESPN. The Fan interviews Brooks Robinson live! Like, there’s no comparison. If we’re in a rain delay, TUNE IN to the radio. Love it! They also played a rerun of the 1989 Why Not 30 year anniversary celebration earlier.
  15. There’s no other thread, and we’re past regulation start time, so I’d say yes!
  16. I wonder if that average will go up after we face Strasburg and Scherzer this series? Or it might not change at all, if we don't ever load the bases against them...
  17. And Neil Walker's first batter received... a walk. Life is strange.
  18. I don't mind him nearly as much as a Phils manager.
  19. Position player coming to the mound for the Phils. Let's having a pitching duel between him and Davis.
  20. Well, this team has a history of giving failing starting pitchers a lot of leeway to try to get good. Look at Ubaldo, Matusz, hell even Arrieta. The only one in recent memory for whom our patience paid off -- for US, not for another club -- was Chris Tillman. He sucked for years, then finally found something.
  21. I was half-kidding before, but now I'm starting to get cold feet.
  22. So the tough question is going to be, how long do you let Hess fail until we bring out a pitcher who can actually close this game with a "W"?
