I think it was a salary dump more than a legitimate attempt to get quality prospects. PA didn't want to pay for production when we were clearly out of the play-offs.

I have to say that while its terrible to hear about a brave soul dying, its certainly a classy move by the ballclub to cancel the game. They should take all the time they need to heal and regroup.

Maybe the fact that they were in New York, and the Northeast is considered a very popular baseball area had to do with why a smallish town like Buffalo would be in the running for a baseball team. Would make sense to me. Although, I'd rather them be putting teams in North Jersey, Brooklyn, Connecticut, make the Yankees share a stadium for a new team, etc.

I guess that the two teams split the ticket revenue, but doesn't the home team get all of the concession revenue? It's probably best if you go there to eat and drink up before and after the game, and make sure not to give them more money to use.
