  1. Flaherty?????? You must be nuts. The guy is way too hittable. We don't have an answer for closer right now. The league seems to have figured out Cano (especially lefties). If I had to pick one I'd pick Fuji right but that could change any second.
  2. Elias probably thought Verlander, Cease and ERod were too expensive and so turned to his 4th option. I don’t hate it.
  3. Not sure who we gave up yet though.
  4. Why wouldn't the Angels take the best offer available? If no team "goes nuts" for Ohtani, you think they'll just keep Ohtani and lose him for nothing in the offseason?
  5. Paul Goldschmidt will be 37 years old. Maybe a half year rental for a playoff run but I can't imagine Elias thinking longer term for this guy..?
  6. I just hope Hyde plays these guys every day.
  7. Overrunning 2nd base on that steal, getting picked off at first base in the 10th, the flyball miscommunication leading to a double, and all those RISP they left. Good grief jays.
  8. Call me crazy but anybody else love the lemonade at Camden yards? Maybe it's just me... Boog's bbq is completely overrated.
  9. Based on Elias's last interview it doesn't look like Cowser is going to come up any time soon. Elias said despite Cowser having good numbers in AAA, Cowser hasn't really spent that much time there and hasn't graduated from AAA yet.
  10. We are executing the reverse jinx FLAWLESSLY.
  11. Not a fan of Stowers at all and I don't understand why he's batting cleanup of all places. Maybe Hyde has a good feeling about him today, who knows.
  12. The guy swings at everything and is a giant hole in the middle of the lineup right now. No one is saying he'll continue at this horrible pace. Just saying it's difficult to watch RIGHT NOW. Calm down.
  13. Santander is brutal to watch right now. Patience is running thin.
  14. Gonna cheat and say Adley. Can we just give him a 10y extension right now??
  15. Really excited for both these guys. Looking forward to seeing a lot more of these two more so than any other prospects in the farm. I did hope to see Cowser hit a little more than he has but he has so far been an OBP machine. Not sure if his history is more of a streaky hitter or not and that's what's led to his slow hitting start but nevertheless the guy knows how to get on base. He seems to draw a walk almost every game. Kjerstad has been on a tear. I know it's only spring training but it doesn't seem long before he makes it to the yard. I remember Elias saying when Kjerstad was drafted, Kjerstad was the best bat in the draft. Nevertheless it's awesome to see both these guys produce. Can't wait for the season to start!
  16. Tate is a good piece no doubt but Britton was an absolute stud closer when he was traded. I wish we would have gotten more back than just a solid reliever. Too bad the other two players involved turned out to be duds.
  17. Vavra seems like a decent bench/infield utility guy. Not a fan of Stowers at all. Too undisciplined as a hitter. Seems to swing and miss on every low breaking ball he should be just taking. I am hopeful Colton Cowser will be the next guy to slot in every day in the OF.
  18. Doubtful. Elias spoke glowingly about Cade Povich and believes Povich can be a "top of the rotation" starter. I think this is a case of the Twins making an offer Elias couldn't turn down.
  19. I know this sounds reactionary because Stowers had a bad day. at the plate. But his plate discipline is less than impressive so far. He appears to swing at every low breaking ball. I'm no scout, but I am not optimistic about this guy at all.
  20. And how much better would this rotation look if we sign a legit TOR vet to go with these young guys. Which I'm sure is what Elias is thinking too. Exciting indeed.
  21. I love the moves Elias has made so far, he's earned my trust. I think it was a no brainer trading Mancini and Lopez. Haven't seen this posted about Povich, one of the prospects gotten from Lopez, Elias says: "We’ve got a tremendous bullpen and a deep bullpen and guys that can step in. And if we’re able to get four pitching prospects, particularly Cade Povich is somebody that we’re very, very high on internally, and think we’ve got a possible front-of-the-rotation starter and a guy that’s going to be in the mid-minors here before the end of the year..."
  22. Man Traber is great. I can listen to him all night. He should be on tv more.
