  1. Being born in the 90s hurts me in this game. Having a vast knowledge of somewhat obscure 80s players is a great way to get a low score and I just don’t have that. The more obscure 2000s guys are still fresh on everyone’s mind so they aren’t always guaranteed to be a low percentage. I haven’t been able to get under the century mark yet. Luckily I played the shit out of this game when I was younger, so that helps:
  2. In case you wanted to have nightmares tonight
  3. You know these are always conservative, right? They have the Braves winning “only” 98 games. They’re going to win 110.
  4. Where on Earth did you pull that from?
  5. But they’ll change their mind when Elias offers them Stowers and Norby!
  6. Andrew Miller was a pending free agent when we traded for him.
  7. I don’t think their trade values are close. Lopez was a career 6+ ERA guy that pitched well in 40 games. Bednar has been dominant for 3 years. Also an extra year of control as you stated.
  8. So, hypothetically, you would trade Bradish and Bautista for Kjerstad and Norby? That’s what you’re suggesting Pittsburgh does and calling it painful from the Orioles perspective.
  9. Spare parts might’ve been too harsh of a term but Hall’s and Stowers’ values have to be pretty low right now.
  10. Non-closer? He is a closer. He wouldn’t be a closer here but I don’t think Pittsburgh is going to lower their asking price for that reason. I didn’t say I would trade Kjerstad but Pittsburgh would definitely ask for him. A lot of people around here seem to think we’re going to trade our spare parts for good players in a seller’s market. I’m sure they would be interested in DL Hall, but as the main piece? I can almost guarantee they’ll do better than that.
  11. I would do that trade which means the Pirates wouldn’t. I feel like they would want Kjerstad instead of Stowers. It’s a seller’s market so Bednar is going to bring back a haul if they trade him.
  12. How many guys that throw 102 hit their spot consistently? Do Chapman and Duran? I don’t know the answer but I assume they don’t. When you throw that fast, you have some leeway. Bautista has the occasional off night but he does a great job keeping fastball high in the zone where hitters can’t touch it.
  13. 24 pitches for Cano and 28 for Bautista. Not thrilled about that.
  14. It hasn’t determined home field advantage for years.
  15. Kenley arguably doesn’t even deserve to be an all-star.
  16. I read Fenway and Wrigley are under consideration for ‘25. ‘26 is Philadelphia. Maybe ‘27?
