I wouldn’t rule out Hicks just retiring after this season. He’ll have his 10 years of service time by season’s end, and another $20 million coming his way from the Yankees, which will give him about $75 million in career earnings.
Abbott’s 1.14 ERA looks nice but his FIP is 4.19 in a very SSS. Let’s not act like he’s 2017 Chris Sale just yet. He wasn’t even on any top 100 prospects lists besides Fangraphs.
