2025: O's get swept in a Wild Card series in Seattle

I would still try to resign Santander. I think he improves the chances of winning a World Series in 2025 more than any other addition the O's could realistically make on the position player side of things. I don't see us getting Soto or Alonso. I think 4 years, 75 million, wouldn't be that crazy. Ages 30-33 seasons. I also think he could play some 1B in the later years of that deal. He might get more, but make him say no to that.

Interestingly, Baseball Reference changed their WAR calculation for Gunnar since yesterday. He went from 8.9 to 9.1 even though he didn't play any new games. I guess it had something to do with the double header in Atlanta being entered into the cumulative data? Odd. Urias went up from 1.4 to 1.5 on the year, too.

25 errors was a lot of errors for Gunnar this season. Sometimes it felt like he was getting too emotional out there. Like when he made errors in 5 consecutive games. That was also around the time he ended Mateo's season(s) by being too aggressive. So I'll say Witt by a hair. Longterm though? It could go either way. They're the two best players on earth under 25.
