  1. You’re right, I misread. But yes it is unorthodox at best lol.
  2. I’m not sure how it resembles Freeman’s stride in any way. He quickly picks his foot up while inwardly rotating his ankle and knee and then essentially drops it back in the same spot. Kind of like Mayo. Much simpler. I do think that for a player of Jackson’s talent it would a pretty straightforward fix. Sure it may take some time. Also possible that it’s gotten more pronounced up here as he tries to sell out for some more power to make a splash.
  3. Agree he steps in the bucket. In theory should be a relatively easy fix.
  4. I don’t know how much horse racing can be used as a baseball analogue.
  5. With a different team and no expectations. Kelenic strikes me as someone who doesn’t handle that kind of pressure well. There are also similarities in that both received national media attention for not making the team out of ST and service time manipulation outrage.
  6. This is the worst debut from a super hyped prospect since Jared Kelenic. Hopefully it doesn’t end similarly. He looks so in his head right now.
  7. He’s hurting the team right now. Not sure how much longer he can learn up here for.
  8. Gg candidate this year?
  9. Where would they play up here?
  10. I saw that. I was worried he jammed his wrist or shoulder on the slide into second. Maybe a good day off for him, stick Hays in RF since he had a little life at the plate last night.
  11. Even if we hang on. Gotta think he’s gone.
  12. Oh I think it’s for sure mental. Day off for him tomorrow?
  13. So un-romantic . I wonder what the Willie Mays basket catch probability was.
  14. Apologies for the double post.
  15. Perhaps I’ve missed it (I missed the HR yesterday) but from what I’ve seen he doesn’t seem to be doing a lot of damage and the bat looks like it’s sluggish through the zone and disconnected from his body. Hopefully just a timing thing but I’m concerned about an injury.

  17. I didn’t see a thread yet for our leader so I figured it was high time to start one. The bat looks slow and slappy right now. What do we expect OPS-wise this year?
  18. MLB Catch of the year.
  19. He’s always done that and lots of others do it too. Gary Sanchez is even more extreme. Elly De La Cruz too. That’s not the problem I don’t think.
  20. What is going on with the strike zone this series?
  21. Absolutely. He’ll be a really interesting player to watch develop
